shooting stars

To see shooting stars,
There must be two conditions,
Look at the night, the sky,
Believe in shooting stars,
I only saw the Big Dipper,

I saw in Greenland, one summer,
I saw some in Guatemala,
On the shores of Mozambique,

Last night, I didn’t see any,
A third condition is missing,
The most important of the three,
That someone loves you,
Darling, have we dreamed too much.

Pour voir des étoiles filantes,
Il faut bien deux conditions,
Regarder la nuit, le ciel,
Croire aux étoiles filantes,
Je n’ai vu que la Grande Ourse,

J’ai ai vu au Groenland, un été,
J’en ai vu au Guatemala,
Sur les rives du Mozambique,

Cette nuit, je n’en ai pas vu,
Il manque une troisième condition,
La plus importante des trois,
Que quelqu’un vous aime,
Chérie, avons nous trop rêvé.

Seloana

Santè, Seloana.
Sweet, gentle Seloana.

You brought forth a promise of perspective, fresh and clear.
You brought the company dreamt of by many; a sense of home.
You brought vulnerability and a tough as soft as the heavens.

An otherworldly being, you are. Undeniably, so.

“Perhaps a hint of heaven itself..”
i whisper to myself, running the risk of enchanting myself if i were to say that name.
tous les mêmes, tous les mêmes.

Soulful, serendipitous Seloana,
Some may ponder the type of effect you could have on a being.
So few are lucky enough to have an answer.
Something I am honoured to say is true.

Swiftly as inhumanly possible,
you snuck me in.
Pas de faux semblants ici.
Home. Seloana est à la maison

Seloana, mi amor
mon âme aime to âme

Epargne
Brave de vous le dire
Elle veut t’en vous le décrire
Coeur du plaisir
Une bonne raison de ce faire lire
The Lord may be
Blessing HIS glory

thank you Descartes

I think so I am,
Thank you Descartes,
She dances samba, so I’m,
She likes strawberries and roasted chestnuts,
So I am,
She has butterflies in her eyes
So I am,
Thank you Descartes,
It is not enough to think
To be happy,
She shows me her breasts in the mirror,
So I am,
She dresses for the carnival,
So I am,
Thank you Descartes,
It is not enough to think
It is enough to be loved
To think.

Je pense donc je suis,
Merci Descartes,
Merci Descartes,
Il ne suffit pas de penser
Il suffit d’être aimé
Pour penser.

merry christmas

Merry Christmas, my poet friends
Nicaraguans or Spanish
May God love you tomorrow,
That cats purr in front of the tree,
American or Iranian, Portuguese
That Santa drops off gifts
In your shoes or socks,
Make a good meal of foie gras
Grilled snails with parsley, oysters,
The world needs everyone,
Merry Christmas, my poet friends,
The world needs so much peace,
Write this word wherever you go.
Slip this word into Santa’s hood.

Joyeux Noël, mes amis poètes
Nicaraguayens ou espagnols
Que Dieu vous aime demain,
Que les chats ronronnent devant le sapin,
Américains ou iraniens, portugais
Que le père Noël dépose des cadeaux
Dans vos souliers ou chaussettes,
Faites un bon repas de foie gras
D’escargots grillés au persil, d’huitres,
Le monde a besoin de chacun,
Joyeux Noël, mes amis poètes,
Le monde a tant besoin de paix,
Écrivez ce mot partout où vous allez.
Glissez-le dans la hotte du père Noël

of the people we hated

Of the people we hated,
We end up loving them,
I’m talking about movie actors
That I wouldn’t quote,
By Jacky Berroyer too,

I certainly don’t speak
Murderers, rapists,
I certainly don’t talk about it,
Thieves, dictators,
Bad guys, pedophiles,
No one likes them.

Of the people we loved,
We end up hating them,
I’m talking about some friends,
I’m talking about some actresses
Like Alice Taglioni,
May God forgive me!

PS Alice Taglioni and Jacky Berroyer are minor French actors

Des gens qu’on a haïs,
On finit par les aimer,
Je parle des acteurs de cinéma
Que je ne citerais pas,
De Jacky Berroyer aussi,

Je ne parle pas certes
Des assassins, des violeurs,
Je n’en parle pas certes,
Des voleurs, des dictateurs,
Des malfrats, des pédophiles,
Nul ne les aime..

Des gens qu’on a aimés,
On finit par les haïr,
Je parle de certains amis,
Je parle de certaines actrices
Comme Alice Taglioni,
Que Dieu me pardonne !

a shooting star

Tell you this again,
When you see
A shooting star,
Someone loves you,

Someone tells you
“Eat chocolates”
Offer jewelry,
Think of me, then,

Pineapple flavors,
Mango flavors,
On a distant island
There is happiness,

Tell you this again
When you see
A shooting star,
There’s someone who loves you.

Dites-vous ceci,
Quand vous voyez
Une étoile filante,
Quelqu’un vous aime,

Quelqu’un vous dit
Mangez des chocolats
Offrez des bijoux,
Pensez à moi, alors,

Parfum d’ananas,
Parfum de mangue,
Sur une ile lointaine
Il y a du bonheur,

Redites-vous ceci
Quand vous voyez
Une étoile filante,
Quelqu’un vous aime.

Everything Has a Meaning, I Guess

Everything has a meaning in the universe, you, me,
If you see the night, a shooting star,
Someone surely loves you, have a dream,
Make a wish; listen gently to your heart.

Everything has a meaning in the universe, time,
La Valsa Da Dor de villa Lobos, all music
Cradles your heart with a soft sun, sapphire
Make a wish; listen gently to your heart.

Everything has a meaning in the universe, you too,
Cities in peace are the most beautiful, yes,
The sky, the night, the jams of mirabelles,
Write a poem; listen gently to your heart.

Premium Member Aime-Moi Maintenant Ou Jamais

A mon âme, à mon cœur,

A Collection of Sentiments

A Collection of Sentiments

To the whole world:
I hope for thou and pray there’s still good left
Yet no matter how low my expectations go,
Thou still manage to disappoint me.
Sometimes I see a light out in the darkness,
But not long after,
It’s tainted.

To all my friends:
Thou art the reason I still hope for the world,
Despite the evidence of the abysmal.
A true friend is hard to come by,
And harder still to keep.
But the times we’ve had
Will be with me till the end.

Yet I love you all,
Friend or not,
Victory or failure,
Disappointment or satisfaction,
And I wish I had time enough in this world to know and understand
The way thou think
The way thou feel
And how thou see thyself

But alas,
I must go.
I am but adrift in this world,
For a tiny speck of time,
And my path is sundered from thine in one way or another,
And as such my eyes never see the workings of thy mind.
Not really.
And as such thou fall short of my lofty expectations,
And dreams are my only solace.

A Tout Le Monde,
A Tout Mes Amis,
Je Vous Aime.
Je Dois Partir.
If these are the last words I ever speak,
Then I’d be free

In My School

I go to my school
I sit in my chair
and I listen to Miss Claire
Who teaches me math
Which has a pretty tougher path.
Miss Viola teaches French
J’ aime blanche!
Here comes Miss Jarbik
To teach us Arabic.
There’s Miss Pince
Who’s come to teach us science
School’s a place
Where everyone can ace.
No matter who you are
You can always be a star
Welcome to school
There’s no other place too cool.

Night of the Dance

Aime-moi plus que le désir

Plied fingers cross flaming lips
satin sheets tangle amid long chords
moans echo well past our time
notes slow but solemnly still tap in key

Entranced the night of the dance
hunger quenched in moonlit song
fires stoked where whispers spoke
and tender heartstrings play along

Listen, a new day comes alone
patterns lain out on her own
the bluebird sings of tethered hope
from feelings that you've shown

Alive, captured now my sun
caresses fade the black
fill the air with pleasure's pulse
with love, there's no turning back

Mi Amor

Vous êtes le parfum de mon âme . . .

A vintage red flowing slowly past my moist lips
sipped in anticipation
a flower beaming her brilliant white resting
across my chest
a painted moon lain over your bare shoulder
cascading a heavenly hue
a twinkle speaking to a soul
in words never told
and this night you're existence
I'll forever hold
inside my craving heart

Aime-moi ce soir et toujours

La discrimination raciale – Translation of Oodgeroo Noonuccal’s “Colour Bar” by T. Wignesan
