My Morning Routine

Breakfast bells ring
In my stomach and
I go downstairs in the
Room where deliciousness
Resides with care and love—
Kitchen,
I stumble slowly
Sinking the moment all in
I take every step
Tap
      Tap
             Tap
                  I'm downstairs
My fingers wrapping
Affectionately around
My coffee mug
Which is also my mate,
Coffee, I pour from the french press,
And it goes like a spiral
Down in the mug as a whirlwind.
And then it goes gently down my throat
When I kiss my mellow mug mindfully.

Then my toast jumps out of the toaster
Like an acrobat,
Acutely lays on the placid plate
Waiting for me to reward it
With strawberries, cherries,
Or balmy butter or merry mulberries,
Or sometimes just like Winnie
I eat it with humble honey.

Afterwards, the backyard awaits me,
I amble amply,
Scatter some bread for my buddies—
Birds and squirrels,
While the wind greets me,
And they all gather round
When I read my poems,
Keeping them spellbound.

Premium MemberI'd Gift the Moon to You

My desire is to savor the taste of your sweet lips
and wake the flame of passion asleep in your heart.
I'd brush the contours of your face with my fingertips
then paint your beauty from memory as a work of art.

If I could I would fetch you the moon on a spoon,
and a drink made of honey that I collected from bees.
To make you smile, a romantic tune I would croon,
and profess my love for you while down on my knees.

I would cradle you affectionately in my arms at night
and then languidly sigh while breathing in your scent.
I'd compare you to the wonders of celestial starlight.
With such burnished love, I would be placidly content.

I'd write sonnets for you to reveal what's in my soul,
capture the moon for you and leave it at your door.
I'd wrap it in stardust and tie it with ribbons of gold,
solemnly vowing my heart to be yours, forever more.

Back From the Dead

I’m having dinner with some friends. Affectionately known as “The Dead”
Staring at their faces, glued firmly in all places.

Who do you think your foolin? Your halitosis say it all.
Exterior defying test of time. As your organs quickly die.

One more drink, and I’m leaving.
I’ve kept up appearances and the peace.

Don’t get up, I’ll see myself out.
Love and kisses to you all.

It’s been a slice of heaven.
But, Im afraid if I stay a minute longer
Your faces will begin melting, from the the candle operas warm glow

WHIMS IN FLIGHT

Longing to witness the necklace of the horizon's dress,
Dreamer, as friends affectionately address.

Building castles in the mind's eye,
Imagery where fairyland dazzles high.

Woven in reverie, miracles appear,
A red carpet of bubbling desire draws near.

Swaying in the mystic ballet, I lose my senses,
As a flicker of light through the stillness dispenses.

Vision unfolds in kaleidoscopic hues,
As the spirit of the universe pulsates in blues.

Premium MemberUntil morning calls

Your eyelids close when you're wrapped around me
What are they painting behind the canvas? That mine see;
A portrait of a tortured soul released by you affectionately?
I'd draw myself in, but the imagery doesn't fit; no tailor in me, can I dress you in poetry?
Tepid water, you're an ocean complete, filled with steeped chamomile
You set the bar a line above my step below; I am calmed by whom you reveal
A morning dove of pain relief!
Destroyer, of all my disbelief!
When you sigh, it's the sound a lilac petal makes as it falls
Come here, you; while I enjoy the scent until morning calls

Premium MemberInk is the Mistress

Her heart was
                  whirling,
       swirling,
                  twirling
             inside the eye
                    of a
                whirlwind,
                    so I
weaved words
                   to calm her rage,
because,
            like an empathic eagle,
a poet is a
             storm chaser,
unafraid of
             human hurricanes.

A wordsmith word weaves
against windstorms,
decorating nebulous skies
with rainbow bridges,
kissing the warm balmy
neon glow of the sun,
softly soothing,
                    vivid vexations
         through
intimate intrinsic artistry,
because,
a cloudless day
                   is a bandage wrapped...
Too tight.

Only a bard can
                    affectionately alliterate
the grip of grief,
as poetry can be the cure
to calm tempested trauma.

Ink is the mistress
to butterfly sentiments.
I will not stop the moths
from devouring you,
as long as they feed
on toxic thoughts.
I have made a home on the moon,
where stardust scribbles carry us to freedom.

Premium MemberWalk Beside Me

Parading years of memory,
clearly ever, we were to be.
Emotions of stored treasury,
whenever you walk beside me.

Arm and arm wherever we go
for all youthful lovers to see,
shining in love's radiant glow,
whenever you walk beside me.

Time has taken physical toll
yet we gaze affectionately.
In familiar embrace we stroll,
whenever you walk beside me.

Parading years of memory,
whenever you walk beside me.

Premium MemberJerusalem

Feeling so blessed away from
thee abuse being battered taunted
today I sit with my two red poodles
brando and ruby they love me
unconditionally making sure I am
hugged affectionately constantly
sinfully indulging in my favorite chocolate
Toblerone bites sipping a warm
Glogg finally feeling safe watching
springtime form in a far off distance
over looking colorful homes in Lebanon

A Slug in your brain

Summer here
in this year is too hot
I need an empty lot
covered by
green moss and shrubs
A gentle breeze
affectionately shaking leaves
and...

and you, the earth
open the door of love
and let me in
within...

me, a glowing myrth, the lovely slug,
plug me in,
the soft soil, the beautiful girl,
the inevitable woman,
the mother,
the wife,
the sister,
the one and the only receiver of pain

let me have a deep sleep
in your brain

It is too hot here, this summer.

Funny Story Fly In the Wall

You have to indulge me here

But funny story

I am in a restaurant the other day

Fancied the soup of the day

So I went ahead and ordered it

A fly then only went and landed in my soup

As typical me I went

Oii fly what the hell

Do you think you are playing at

At stick with me strangely enough

The fly only answered me back

But was actually really impressed

Surprisingly saying to me

How do you know I am a fly

And I went because you fly

Anyway cut a long story short

We ended up swapping details

And we have remained in contact

And are still friends to this day

I nicknamed him Geoff Goldbloom

Originally I was going to call him Sting

Or chicken after the soup

And he calls me

L.F.R.S

Which affectionately means

Like . Flies , Round , Sheet

Premium MemberAll the Fantasies You Have Ever Dreamt

For so long, of you, my mind has dreamed
Finally, my eyes wishes were streamed
As you come towards me when I'm dreaming
Thoughts of you feeling loved I am streaming
Roll over toward me, I will hold you in our dreams
Our hands discover each other, love affectionately streams
Whisper to my ear all the fantasies you have ever dreamt
Both wake tangled in brambles, of devotion that's never empt

Glad Tiding

And they laughed. Lovingly, affectionately.
As the morning sun was the hero in the windowpane in this city.
And I thought about the cop, this city and his tattooed skin.
God is a garbage can, where people on earth are a glad tiding.
And warning too.

Premium MemberAnger and Love

Anger, torments our heart,
makes one shout, to get the attention of alienated heart.
Rage fire ups the fury and tears up the poor heart,
Louder we get, to communicate with our distant heart.

In love, speak softly, speak gently,
to touch the close heart affectionately,
When deeper in love, just whisper,
as hearts are ever close together.

When in ultimate love, no need to whisper,
just looking at each other, unites the hearts forever.
