Adequately Poems

Premium MemberPerennial winner

I am a perennial winner
Cause I refuse to be a loser

I am programmed for victory
And I vehemently refuse to walk by sight

Nor by what my circumstances look like
For what is seen is temporary

I refuse to allow my situation
To dictate the direction of my prayer or confession

For I can not rise above my confession
Confession determines the life I enjoy

Whatever I give my attention minutely
Is what I have become in reality

Let your confession therefore
Be in line with God’s promises

When hard times strike
Do not take the route of complaints

Nor get frightened by what you see around you
Cause the unseen hands of God

Who does not sleep or slumber
Work behind the scenes

To change you through your circumstances
For hard times are meant to improve you

And adequately prepare you for promotion
And not to impair you

So welcome challenges with all your heart
And confess success through your challenges

Premium MemberBlack Hole

Yesterday was two weeks
Two weeks since my son
was pronounced brain dead

How am I alive?
how have I worked this week?
how has the black hole of grief
inside me not taken over completely?

I have driven, I have operated the stove,
I have functioned adequately at work
but there are times that time seems to stop
and I go to a place in my mind where
the pain is so big and raw and all encompasing
it feels like I stop being..............

So has two weeks gone by?

How am I here?

How do I live on?

Turning Somewhere Else

That cold sparkle of despicable antipathy,
which never waned and was held inside secretly,
didn't start any true affection or desire in me:
on death's final breath it'll agonize me!

Turning somewhere else is seeking vengeance,
from somebody so embolden by anger and apathy;
being unkind is showing the falsity of pretense:
cling to me and spare yourself more days of agony!

Compassion is another form of unpretentious sympathy,
it must be felt adequately to be convincing and genuine;
no comfort is offered, only shallow words that swiftly dwine:
their echo is louder than a thunder rattling any gloomy sky!

Turning somewhere else to find a plausible answer
won't alleviate the anxiety built by a tragic outcome;
come to the senses, knock down the wall of lonely prisoner:
behind it stands the road to freedom, don't be too fearsome!

It's either deranged madness or unwillingness to appease
an imploration suffocated by tears so mercilessly unheeded;
no arms are open, no ears listen to anyone who's wrecked and afraid:
will human mercy be shown when the tides turn and events displease?

To express the pain

There are some who live by lies
Others tell the truth
Some who will be followers
Others will lead in due time
I have endured pain but it made me stronger in life
I have leant to deal adequately with confrontation
I learned to not be confined
Some are intimidated by what they can not control
My father raised me with respect until the day he grew old
You can try to break me
I give you a fair shot
What you will not due is keep me down
My blessings
You will not block
All you will do is burn out your own energy on a person
Who really does not care
When you take from one person
Karma takes from you
Consider that fair
I have learned to express the pain

I often wonder

7 April 2024 10:36 PM

The stars are bright high in the sky they watch over the earth through the night.

What they have seen and for how long? No one could adequately write that song.

The history from the begining of time, from the mediocre to the sublime.

The watchers have seen it all, the largest of large, the smallest of small.

I do wonder now and then, what they think of me, if they know my end.

Is my life of interest at all or just a blip not worthy of recall.

I must be worth something good. Father made me and has kept me as a good Father should.

I don't want reward or fortune or fame. I just want someone to remember my name.

To know that I mattered and tried to do well. I tried to tell others of God and of hell.

Folks and angels may not know me at all but my Father... our Father He knows us all.

True Love

TRUE LOVE

People often ask, what is true love
It’s many things, simple and complex
No definition can adequately serve
At whatever age, it generates verve
A journey not straight, but a curve
And in its ideal form, always duplex
Even illogical when seen from above

True love may appear simple at first
But defies all reasonable explanation
Matters of the heart shun the brain
Some think one can go quite insane
As it swoops down to conquer again
It happens, and there’s no preparation
And somehow always slakes that thirst

Those believing that their love is true
Would say never to try and understand
It exists in a kind of void, even ethereal
And even finding its secret is immaterial
Building loyalty like a long running serial
Its form is not generic, but has no brand
Yet asked why one loves, say, I just do

Premium MemberBeyond Words

Sometimes a kitty cat
Sometimes a cute bluebird
But always just so beautiful
There really are no words
To adequately describe her
You can't capture sunlight
You can try to if you want to
But you'll never get it right

Premium MemberHear Her Roar

There's no greater gift that given life could ever offer
A force to be reckoned with in every form is she and her
They should be cherished and loved in every aspect
For what they bring to the table deserves Humanities respect
All are trusted by creation once a month to recreate life
Their counterpart gets 180 million chances with every attempt
History has never adequately revered them it's pattern has known nothing but their strife
So, on this International Day of honoring my words, hold it accountable, nothing exempt
I've devoted my life to respecting and honoring them in every way that I can
There is no creature more beautiful, more irreplaceable, more undeniable than a woman

I Dream of My Pretty Mom Daily

I dream of my pretty mom daily...
each minute, each hour that the clock strikes,
I grieve her shedding sorrowful tears;
if only distance didn't keep me away
from those beautiful eyes so kind and so bold,
I would be near her and feel loved:
nothing can break the bond between
a loving mother and a beloved son!

I dream of my pretty mom daily,
through the daylight and the twilight;
does love mean endless affection,
or something nobler than that?
Who doesn't appreciate her devotion,
hasn't understood her sacrifice of all women:
why that boy or that girl was born
and make the family grow in harmony,
bless them to be the joy of her devoted heart...
although they'll grow big and go their way!

I dream of my pretty mom daily,
my appreciation for the life she gave me
is the most invaluable gift that must be
be prized above others adequately;
many knew the gentleness and the charm
of the extraordinary woman, I called mom!

Premium MemberGive a Royal Flip

Bleeding through the most perplexing pain
No sure what the reward is to be gained
From suffering, though some do believe
[Yet they cannot adequately explain],
And I have often wondered about such
Without having myself suffered that much.

“No pain, … no gain” is that crafty cliché
Designed to enhance a gym membership
Keeping the overweight sufferer hanging
Even if most couldn’t give a royal flip,
Losing it today; then gaining it back tenfold
Obesity seems as inevitable as growing old.

Some perverted men want their women fat
Encouraging them to eat beyond their fill,
Displaying their extra layers of rolling flesh
Without regard to the physical disorders ‘til
It’s too late to do something positive, you see
I am just happy as a lark, this isn’t about me.

Premium MemberA Broken Locket

She left nothing but a broken locket,
snapped in two, as though it had been stepped on.
And as I slipped it into my pocket,
I realized that she was truly gone.

She kept our pictures in a golden heart,
saying we would always be together.
But before too long, we drifted apart,
encountering rogue waves and rough weather.

She left me in the wee hours of the night,
into the darkness that swallowed her whole.
And as she silently slipped out of sight,
she cut the tether to my heart and soul.

Failing to adequately secure it:
she left nothing but a broken locket.

Premium MemberAnnual Marsupial Luncheon

Marsupial luncheon was a huge success
We had enough food with a plausible guess
Kangaroo baby made an enormous food mess
We did not help mama clean it, I must confess.

It’s all in her pouch the koala said.
She is embarrassed. Her face is quite red.
Opossum did not reply. She was playing dead.
All marsupials were amply and adequately fed.

2:07am

I've had a few too many drinks
So I can't explain quite correctly
Why my eyes aren't functioning
And typing is harder subsequently
But I guess this is an improvement
Than the spinning feeling when they're closed
So i may not adequately articulate
My feelings on the matter
But I can't fall asleep in silence
Regardless of the situation
I need some kind of chatter
If I'm left alone with my own thoughts
There's endless questions with no answers
So many hypotheticals
In numerous directions
I'm not sure where to start
But im so tired I could end
Doesn't seem to be a middle ground
It's feels too much to comprehend
So I wait for rem with a kicking canine
And hope I can dream of chasing rabbits too
It seems a bit more simplistic
Than imaginary life idealistic

Premium MemberAre We a Space Program Or Energy Waves

I'm utterly a hermetic swarm of chemicals.
Our atoms are uniquely spotted over medicals.
Inside every iota arise unique waves of strenuosity.
It is stunning since we're concerned not to see.

The intensity waves in the query are identical.
In each one of us?In the enduring genetical?
Hence, it is the idea of genuine humanity.
My inner being is made up mainly of vitality.

Our planet is a satellite girding a stellar body.
On a heroic endeavor as you rest adequately.
There's a compelling goal needs to echo left or right.
All is cautiously stowed to a programmed flight.

While lying in bed wheezing and having a dream
You'd be flabbergasted at the spots will redeem.
You'd have beheld the divine cores in their glory.
What might have ensued will stall you ever-lively?

The eternal truth, however, is a lot as well peculiar.
If you didn't foresee Earth is, in eternal fact, flatter.
There's a compelling reason that needs to unfold more.
It's superb that we didn't all fall on a live shore.

As I Do

You wouldn't need me if you could trust yourself the way I do, if you could understand yourself the way I do. You'd be floating in the endless blue sky, free of the bonds you've imposed on yourself and others. You are much more than you realize. You are far more powerful than you realize. Even words can't adequately describe you. If only you could see the fire within yourself as I do, if only you could see yourself as I do.
