Oldest of five brothers, I was the one who got away with everything. Spent thirty years as a Navy Reservist. People say I'm a little crazy. Thank God, normal people lead mundane lives. My greatest love is kids and I spend weekends working with abused kids with psychiatric problems almost always created by adult animals. I like music, mostly country and early rock. Married for forty years (my wife will be given the Medal of Honor) and have four kids, a 36 and 35 year old and two 23 year olds. The twins are a boy and girl. Including me, my wife has five. Got 5 grand kids. I'm big on amusement parks and would work for Mickey and Donald any day. I've seen a lot of the world (14 countries) and definitely miss the travelling with the Navy. I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer. I love this planet, so I'm going to stay awhile. I do believe war could be a necessity only in defense of your country and not as an excuse to prospect for oil. I believe that if there is any honesty or integrity in Washington, the guy is in the wrong city. People I most admire include Jimmy Carter, JFK and Billly Graham. I'm pro-life and anti- political correctness. I think the problem with political jokes is that most of them get elected.

Thank you so much for the prayers. My son was taken off the breathing machine and is breathing on his own. He is still bleeding in the chest cavity but it is under control. He understands somewhat and knows his name. He is still unaware of anything that has happened or how long he's been unconscious. It looks as if there will be minimal or no brain damage but it will be a long road to recovery. The wounds may heal before the withdrawal. This site is so special, I'm asking for your continuing prayers. I am certain that his being alive today is due to the prayers as much as the care he's received. Thank you again and God Bless all of you.

Thanks Vince...My husband had to go in and hold my hand for me to get the MRI done...I just hope that I find out what the problem is and get on with life..When I think of you and what your family is going through this is nothing ..How is your son? We have a lady that lives up the road in her fourties probably has grown children and grandchildren but she is younger than me and was still working..She had two bloodclots to turn loose from her leg and one is in her lung and the other in an artery it has been two weeks and they are not dissolving...So much out there..Sara

Vince, I am glad that your son is doing as well as can be expected after such a tragic accident..We have prayed for him at church and at home..He is lucky to be alive and I believe that God has a purpose for him in his life ahead..Sara

We ask for faith and strenght in our time of need. We humbley acknowledge that you are in controll of the situation but also listen to the prayers of the rightious which availeth much. I will pray for you and your son. I have spent many days in ICU with my son who had a cardiac arrest ( see my poem..images of ED)..I feel your pain ..I am so sorry you and your family have to go through this. However, the news is promising...what wonderful news. Stay strong...BG
