Pretender's Lullabye

She leaves the scars.
Like horoscopic stars.
On alabaster skin.

Constellations of black and blue.
She croons to you.
An analyzer’s verse.

Stars are meant to burn.
Another lesson to learn.
Glowing cigarettes her melody.

Hush now don’t you cry.
She’ll sing a pretender’s lullabye.
While stars tattoo alabaster skin.

Her love leaves a trail,
Savored astrologist’s tale.
Burnt offerings her wicked taboo.
