 Here comes the newly-improved JH biography (not that you really care but it's)...at a bargain-basement price!
I'm a Catholic raised - down-to-earth Brooklyn boy who thanks his Mom & Dad for who & where he is today. My Dad - so proud of Him! A decorated Marine who fought in the Korean War...I have his Marine Corp. jacket that honors his integrity and love for both his family and his country. I love and miss my Dad! My Mom - another kick-ass, wonderful person who gave me way too many hugs and kisses as a child...nah, she gave me everything a son could ever want...she still does. Although, she's charging me residuals for her services now...only kidding.
Graduated both Catholic Grammar School: Mary Queen of Heaven (Franciscan Nuns) Egads! Catholic High School; Xaverian (YO! Top Twenty Honor Student) Yeah...if I didn't graduate in the TOP 20 - I would have been more afraid of my Mom's Italiano disapproval (as opposed to my Dad yelling): "I don't give a crap what score you got on yer test today...just get outta the way of the TV set when I'm watching the GIANTS game, OK!" Needless to say - I loved my Dad! Moving on...to more boredom...
Graduated the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1974. Studied with choreographer/director, Bob Fosse, 2 years (ballet and modern jazz) before he passed away in 1987. Studied (tap & modern jazz) with Michael Bennett (1984-1986). Mr. Bennett died in July of 1987. Studied, for 3 years, with acclaimed actress, Uta Hagen (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) & Lee Strasberg at HB Studios.. Graduate of NY University for credits (in the fields of): Editing and Cinematography.
Presently, writing a "draft" for an upcoming Off-Broadway musical and (yes, I am writing both LYRICS & music). Please, Mr. Producer - GET representation! An anthology (of my short stories & poems) will soon be peddled on the Barnes & Nobles market circuit. Will be appearing in the feature film : SHAME (to be realeased in February 2012) and...THANKS, MOM & DAD...the biggest influences in my life...I'm so glad you kicked me in my ass when I needed it the most! I love you both so much! I know I've grown from a pseudo-rebellious kid to an outspoken, vocal adult...and you still support me? Egads...the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
