What to Submit?
1 original, poem on the theme of .............An Anniversary
I am coming up to my one year anniversary of joining Poetry Soup, so I decided to make Anniversary the theme for this contest. It can be either happy (wedding, reaching a special goal/milestone) or sad (loss of a loved one, divorce, etc). Also I enjoy contests that have required words, so there are eight required words:
1. Mirage 2. Dulcet 3. Consolation 4. Pivot 5. Favor 6. Nonverbal 7. Delicate 8. Allure
You can use these in any order. I have posted an example, called 'Poetry Anniversary' to give you an idea of what I'm looking for. I used free verse, but any form is fine, minimum 10 lines, maximum 20 lines. Also you must put the word 'Anniversary' in your title. New entries only, put date at the bottom!
Any form is acceptable.

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts.
English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
A Note to Poetry Contestants
You are welcome to enter this contest, whether or not you won a prize in one of my previous contests.
