Anniversary Chimes
A full moon early at the rendez-vous
Ushering delicate dulcet nocturnal chimes
On this day our anniversary
But is it a mirage or really you
There at our secret meeting place
Used to say you wouldn’t miss it for the world
The stars align and pivot in our favor
But is it a mirage or really you
Pulled by the allure of love that death cannot extinguish
At peace with a nonverbal bartering
That leaves me with the consolation
That you really are here
Of this I have no doubt
