TERMS OF ENDEARMENT

i'm the type who gives special terms of endearment to people i have affinity for...perhaps, it's the sentimentalist in me, but isn't it nice to be called by a personal name?.. michael falotico addresses our linda -marie, " jersey girl".. cyndi mac millan aka " soul sister" lavishes us with " doll", "hon", and gail enjoys " sweetie" for most.. russell sivey likes " kashi" for kash poet , which i also use for the latter... as in, kashi bud!

my list is long when it comes to naming others in a different way.. there's " mareey" for yasmin khan and her nick for me is "priya".. "donns" is for donna jones, " andie" belongs to andrea... hmm, " mus", well that's mustapha; " rich" equals richard lamoureu... ohh, my " vie" happens to be mystic rose.. so many more!

outside soup, my baby nephew calls me " nehhh" as he can't pronounce my name-- sweet thing!.. i like how one of my good friend calls me" bongks" ( i am the bouncy one according to her)..

okay, for those guys out there i dated before, i won't forget these ones: " nappy" ( i sleep 10 hours a day), " heart", " dawnie" and " ness".. awhh, cheesy, lol!

how about you soupers?... any favorite terms of endearment for friends here and around your own circle?... share!... anyway, it's almost valentine's!

Hey nette....I wish I could think of a perfect name for you...but perfect is all that comes to mind.:-) :-) beautiful and talented....oh well...:-) :-) when we were kids..before I started shaving my legs..my brothers called me Brillo pad and it kinda stuck between us....:-) :-) gotta love brothers..

Yo Netteski, my dear! I call my kids "sugar" and my dad used to call me "Nannypoo". I use "darlin'" alot for people of whom I'm fond, but there's only one Netteski! ('twas Syd turned me on to that one, remember?) Peace, sistah, namaste. ~N

When I was a kid, my dad's friends called me "Little Dusty".....My dad taught us to ride horses, so guess I stirred up the dust! ??

One of my dear friends, Robin, I refer to as "Sweet Pea" and of course "Miss Thing" herself, Cyndi MacMillan as "Cyndi Loo-Who". And, being southern, I call most all my lady friends "hon" ;)

I was drafting a poem and got distracted by a few blogs, like this one. In time, monickers will come for friends here. Talking about special, my godmother coined something for me, Cher. It's frenchy and she had this associated with love. Most of my family began calling me so. I like this a lot; sounds so affectionate!

I call OUR girl: Very Very (cause when she was good she was very very good and when....LOL) Before she was born, I nicknamed my belly. YUP. Gave my girl a name even before born. Called that mountain, "Muffin" a term of endearment, and above muffin was, of course, lol, muffin-top. I love terms of endearment... they are special... my grandmother called me "Princess" and as a warbride who moved to Canada, felt deeply about royalty (God save the Queen) that SHE call me this was extra special. Now? Princess means spoilt, over-indulged, perhaps whiny and/or lazy, too. But from her it meant... grace, beauty, esteem, kindness, spirit..... so I treasure that word, hear it different to others... xox
