TAKING A BREAK

we all have a long list of soupers we visit regularly to check their beautiful works and spend some quality time via chat or PM... lately though, i don't seem to see a lot of regulars posting new works...

russell sivey, good ole friend, is taking a long pause to concentrate on his studies till end of may according to his soupie mail... donna jones tells me she needs a 'sabbatical leave' as her mother-in-law has a health concern... and caleb smith screams 'time-out' for his preggy sis... nooo, kashi poet, my dear bud slips away for more hours at the salt mines, not to mention his new hobby-- haiku lessons...my sweet soul sis, cyndi mac millan juggles her day by doting on her daughter and putting more flesh to her upcoming novel...

mmm, seems springtime has a way of spreading us thin, at our expense?.. though i miss these peeps, i'm glad they come by and sneak a bit to let us know they are around...

it's summer here and that means i'm off to some getaway or foreign place... i was on an island- hopping tour 2 weeks back, and a days after, my feet were climbing the temples in cambodia.. . in between, i am finishing 4 wellness seminars... if i'll be in a disappearing-act mode one of these days, you know; but stealing a few hours for soup is definitely part of my life agenda...

to you special ones on flight,

do drop by every now and then... we miss you!

anyone else you know who is taking a vacay from our little paradise? ... do say hi to them and keep us updated!.. hello to my mareey, yasmin khan.. where are you?.. blessings to all!

I don't even know what a vacation is, dearie. I just do a lot of fun things whenever I can and that is my life, a series of relaxing nights mixed in with my work days!! My last REAL vacation was to Rio with a friend in 2000. What a cool time that was!! YOu sure lead an exotic life!!! Have fun. I know you will!!

Oh, Nette, Soul-Sis, so glad to hear you are exploring as I know this nourishes you down to your toes! Writers (all genres) need to live to write and write to live. It cycles, over and over.. discover, embrace, reach, fly and then burrow, contemplate, dream and write. Somehow soup fits into one of this cycles more than the other. Few years back I had met a lovely woman on the bus from Cambodia.. I actually bought a Cambodia/English dictionary... but she just disappeared.. I have no idea what happened to her. She was so lonely and said she felt finally welcomed to Canada because of me. I can not hear "Cambodia" without feeling a sense of loss and worry. I hope she is happy, somewhere. Hugggs

Hi hon! Yes, it's nice to be out this time of year...climbing temples in Cambodia?!...luckeeeee..;) Sounds like a blast. I've got some time today...think I'll read some poetry. I've got a fishing tournament tomorrow (that I plan on winning) Ok, I'm off to read...

Hi nette! Me, I am being a kabute here, and actually taking a break by going here for an itty bit. Wow, you sure go places, buti ka pa! Go island hopping for me, ok? I'm actually on a summer world tour (haha just with my kids in school and our imaginations ^_~), going to Japan and India next week (how I wish for real!)-- and busy with other stuff and yet I still cram, so don't really have much time here-- but yup, I sure do wonder about Yasmin--How I hope she is ok.... ingat ka lagi!
