hello soupers!.. i am in the process of judging my contest and having a difficult time choosing the winners...

BUT more difficult or disappointing for me is the fact that 4-5 members could not enter my challenge due to TPS errors like error 500, application error, and other tech glitches, with due respect to soup.

i have sent a message to admin with the hope that a final solution would be implemented..

to those who wrote me and tried till the last minute to post their entries, i felt really helpless about this situation...please know you are winners in my heart, and i appreciate your support and talent!

as i score the winning points, kindly accept that non-winning members did not follow the requirements.. some wrote in rhyme form, others may not have kept in mind my criteria for judging... all in all, i had an awesome time savoring your poems...

meanwhile, what technical problems are you experiencing?.. i almost didn't make it to a contest as the site stopped temporarily for some reason... i waited for 2 hours and went back to the contest area...

let's share so we can be help each other...huggs

Hi Nette! I spent 2 days trying to enter my poem in your contest. Each time I ended in that dreaded yellow page with the words" Server Error....Request timed out"!! I contacted TPS and all I received was a link to your contest...not at all helpful! I hope next time I try entering a contest it will be less frustrating! Hugss ~ paul

Just got in. I had trouble logging and it took me 1 1/2 days to sneak my work. I never used google chrome (?) and tried it out of frustration. Maybe that helped but I was just given a fraction of time to surf TPS. Thank you, Nette!

Hi Nette, Yes, I had the same predicament. I tried to enter your contest "REFRAIN FROM THE 6th", but couldn't raise an eMuscle to do it, lol. Well, I hope TPS will work on the TPS soonest!! *_^

I don't know how to call my "tragedy." When I tried to join 2 contests including yours, the site hangs! I took my works out and will try the others. It's not easy to write for days only to be " rejected," I wish this will be resolved.

Franco, are either of the other contests still running. Try them now. I have nothing ready to enter into a new contest to test it out. Maybe the system is working again for people like you and me.

I have problems getting a contest started and getting it closed. Also I was not able at ALL to enter Nette's contest. Tried for half an hour and it simply would not go through.Strangely, I entered other contests and THOSE went through. It was as if her contest was jinxed!! Then I find out this morning that others had problems and yet others WERE able to get into her contest. It's very unfair, Poetry Soup. I wish things were like they used to be!

can you beat this, andie?.. i was entering another contest and my piece was not on the contest page... i waited for hours, the site was so slow.. i looked at 'my poems' board and it was there... so sorry this is happening... migraine blues for me!

One big problem I've had for several months is that if I see a misspell, or need to add, or edit my just posted poem, more often than not, it won't let me! The "connection time-out" factor will not let me in ! Good luck with your problem, Nette!

Hi, gorgeous ( hah!). I'm just keeping light of things but I sent a hopeless entry. While doing so, I got this alien inscription in red, right smack in the middle of sending on the "enter" page.Tried twice; if it's not with you, it won't win anyway. Actually, not funny; just need to vent.

thank god for the comic relief... not happy that really good poems couldn't get in... sometimes, i experience that too.. i had a poem that was not listed while i was entering... ohhh

It is frustrating Nette. Thankfully I did find a way around it, not sure if its a computer or site problem.

The problem I am having Nette is wiith the Validate letters/numbers: I write the capital letters in the correct manner but they come out in lower case ! So I then write the Validate letters in the comment box, then copy and paste them and that does the trick. Anyone else experience the same ?!?!

one of my problems is 'connection time-out' but your problem is unusual, lenny...good you found a way to straighten this but it can be kind of stressful!..
