Emile Pinet
(Click for Poet Info...)

I was born in a small city, (Bathurst) New Brunswick, Canada, the third eldest of thirteen children, ten girls and three boys. I’m the product of a semi-dysfunctional family, brought up by a physically controlling father, versus a loving nurturing mother. Many of my poems reflect the uniqueness and special circumstances of my upbringing and love of nature.

Results for “A New Abracadabra Poem Contest :

I don’t know why the system is saying winners not chosen and I can’t fix it...but, this was a very challenging contest and only eight entries met the required format. The winners are as follows:

1) L MILTON HANKINS
2) Regina McIntosh
3) Constance La France
4) Subimal Sinha-Roy
5) Evelyn Swartz
6) Faith Idomeh
7) Reason A. Poteet
8) William Kekaula

Due to the difficulty of this format, especially the reversing line that must rhyme, I’d like to congratulate all those who managed to Place, well done my friends, and to all who submited a poem for consideration, let me say good try, and keep challenging yourselves my friends, Emile.

This thing happened in my previous contest that I sponsored. Luckily I was able to unfinalize and started all over again.

Thank you Emile, wish you could say "Abracadabra" and make the glitch disappear. I appreciate the placement and enjoyed writing my first abracadabra poem.

Emile, I don't know what to say. I am so pleased, and it was totally unexpected! Thanks so much for the honor you gave to my little poem, "The Kiss." It was such fun to write, and now it is even more treasured. Thank you, thank you!

Emile, so sorry you had a technical problem in finalizing, so frustrating, seems to happen often in Premier contests. Thank you so much for my fine placement, appreciate and congrats to all your winners, peace _Constance
