I was born in a small city, (Bathurst) New Brunswick, Canada, the third eldest of thirteen children, ten girls and three boys. I’m the product of a semi-dysfunctional family, brought up by a physically controlling father, versus a loving nurturing mother. Many of my poems reflect the uniqueness and special circumstances of my upbringing and love of nature.

Have Your Winning Poems Published.

Hi everyone!

I am in the process of writing my "forth" and final book of poems. I would like to include a section that will be dedicated to past and future winners of the contests I have been running on the PoetrySoup site.

Anyone who has placed ( first, second or third ) in one of my contest and has won one of my books, will have the opportunity to have there bio and winning poem published in a section of my newest book titled "A Match In The Dark". Your winning poem along with a one page bio, will be listed under a section titled " My Poet Friends" which will comprise the last pages of the book. (You may upgrade your poem, if you like, but it must be the same poem that won a book in one of my contest.)

I will continue to run contests for the rest of this year, awarding a book for each first, second and third place in future contests, including the contest I am presently running.

Anyone who has previously won a book from me are welcome to join this project as well, which should comprise between 60 to 80 pages of my new book, including bios.

If you wish your poem to be published in my book, you must email me (emilejp@rogers.com) with your permission to publish your poem under your name, along with a short one page bio and your winning poem.

All winning poems must use :

https://www.rhymezone.com/

https://www.poetrysoup.com/grammar/grammar-check.aspx and

https://www.howmanysyllables.com

in order to check for rhyme, grammar and syllable counts ...no other programs will be acceptable.

It is not compulsory to participate in this project to win a book and anyone may choose to opt out at anytime, but this is your chance to share your winning poetry with the world.

All previous winners who wish to participate in future contests are free to do so, but in fairness to all, your poems will not be eligible for First, Second or Third podium positions again.

I will publish my book at the end of this year and there will be no further opportunities to be included after that time frame.

Only poets who have won or will win a copy of one of my books are eligible!

Please let me know if there is any interest among you for this project.

Emile.
