I was born in a small city, (Bathurst) New Brunswick, Canada, the third eldest of thirteen children, ten girls and three boys. I’m the product of a semi-dysfunctional family, brought up by a physically controlling father, versus a loving nurturing mother. Many of my poems reflect the uniqueness and special circumstances of my upbringing and love of nature.

This contest has been judged and the winner names have been listed, however, it was pointed out to me that due to my lack of oversite and an honest mistake by Robert James Liguori, whose poem I chose as my First Place winner, he inadvertently used 26 lines when a max of 25 lines was called for in the contest.

I spoke to Robert and he understands and agrees wholeheartedly that the second-place winner Malabika Ray Choudhury is now the First Place winner and is therefore entitled to receive the offered prize. And I have contacted Malabika on this matter.

I apologize to everyone involved and promise to be more vigilant in all my future contests.

I cannot change the winner's list, I wish I could, (I tried), but unless someone knows how there seems to be no way to do it.

Emile, first things first, thanks for the inspiration and the contest, they are always great and thanks for my fine placement and congrats to all the winners. Robert was a first class gentleman relinquishing first place and I am happy for Mala, I know she will enjoy your book. I know how to change placements in a Standard contest but I am not familiar with the Premier contest judging process ~ peace and tranquility _Constance
