Hi All.....I'm back
It's been a while since I posted both a blog and new poetry as I have had such a busy time over the last six months - the winter was horrendous and I was left with frozen pipes and no heating for a time - this was followed by burst pipes and floods
and it took so long to put things right that it made me assess a few things and I made the monumental decision to move house - a hard decision as it was the house that I shared with my beloved late husband and it held so many memories, but it was starting to eat into what little savings I had and I felt that it was time to move on.
From making the decision to sell, to moving into a new place, it only took 5 weeks (thats the arian in me - once something is decided it has to happen yesterday!!!!)
and although we are still living out of boxes - the new house has a good vibe and feels like home already and I know that my girls and I are going to be happy here - in fact I have never slept as well as I have since moving in so maybe it was meant to be.
The move has also shown me that I am a resilient woman
- I have become a whizz with an electric screwdriver and putting together furniture and I have even overcome my vertigo and managed to get up a couple of rungs of ladders to put up curtains and light shades. In between all of this I have been putting together my own anthology of poetry which has gone to an editor before sending to a publisher, so all in all things are going well and life is good.
My heart is gladdened to see that many of the friends I have made on the soup are still here and I look forward to catching up on reading your work.
