I would just like to say a big thank you to John Freeman for placing my poem 'The Gift' equal first in his competition, I am humbled and to be in such esteemed company as Deborah Guzzi who I think is an outstanding poetess is an extreme honour and has brought a small glimmer of light to my world which is much darker since the passing of my beloved Billy last week. He would have been so proud, as he was a big supporter of my work as a writer. I would also like to thank everyone so much for their kind wishes and messages of condolence, they were very much appreciated both by myself and my daughters Libby and Mandy. Congratulations to all the winners of recent contests both by members and the Soup - I'm sorry that at present I am not able to comment to each of you personally and wish you all well in your writing endeavors.
