Can You Handle The Truth (about bananas)
.2 a m. So again another sleepless night. As I lay here yielding to the brutal grip of insomnia, I can't help but think of the injustice we humans perpetrate towards bananas. Perhaps the meekest of fruit.
.
Yeah if bananas could scream when you bit them I bet you'd think about that wouldn't you? But you never even notice their agony when you peel them do you? No because you just don't care. Do you? But they are screaming my sadistic friend. They're screaming all over the world. But you don't hear them. Because you've hardened your heart to the tiny little screaming bananas, and you'll eat them. You'll eat with no remorse. And they will die in your digestive track; and as they die they'll die knowing that their children will most likely be eaten too. Oh maybe not by you, but by some sociopath just like you. And no one will care. And their peels will just be discarded like common trash. You may not even throw them in the trash. You may just throw the peel down on the sidewalk. That's right. If you'll murder a banana, you'll most likely litter as well. What's one more crime in a long list of unconscionable deeds of darkness? And maybe in an ironic twist of karmic fate someone will slip on that peel and fall. Maybe an innocent human that's never murdered a banana. And perhaps they will be injured because you killed a banana, and discarded it's outer layer in a way that would make even Hannibal Lecter cringe, But you won't care will you? In fact you'll most likely laugh. And you'll kill bananas again won't you because deep down in your core you know that you need that banana. We live in world that has bananas, and someone has to guard those bananas, and who is gonna guard them? You? That is a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom, you eat that banana. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That that banana's scream while tragic, probably saved your life. You don't want the truth about screaming bananas because in places you don't talk about at parties, you need the potassium in that banana. Your body craves it. I have neither the time nor inclination to explain nutritional value to a murderer who rises and sleeps with the very potassium that banana provides. So you eat that banana. But as you do remember, you're devouring the hopes and dreams of bananas that can not speak for themselves.
Now; I may just get up and eat a snack
