A BIT OF USELESS INFO TO CHEER YOU UP: Famadihana is a funerary tradition of the Malagasy people in Madagascar. Known as the turning of the bones, people bring forth the bodies of their ancestors from the family crypts and rewrap them in fresh cloth, then dance with the corpses around the tomb to live music. According to Malagasy belief, people are not made from mud, but from the bodies of the ancestors. Hence they hold their forefathers in high regard. Its origins cannot be traced beyond the 7th-century. Researchers are of the opinion that the Famadihana festival has its roots in Samhain, a festival similar to Halloween.

Kelly, your blog was great, it made me smile and reminded me of my Grandma, she prepaid her funeral, even picking out her coffin and she would say in a very proud voice, "I will have you know that my coffin is waterproof and soundproof !" Neither has ever been proven ~Constance

Just told my Nan about your new band name. She said it would go brilliantly with the song "Baggy Trousers" by the band Madness.... Quite appropriate don't ya think???? Lol

Ha ha! Love this... Good to know that my mind is not alone in the over thinking phases! ... What a funny result to go from faulty caskets to naming a band faulty coffins!! It actually sounds like a real name of a band. (Lol) :-D

Yes, quite amusing Kelly, I worked at a cemetery 2 summers in my youth as a crew-helper, oh my the stories I could tell you...just one, a lg lake was on the property, rumor was crew leaders all had seen a diaphonous lady ghost often walking the perimeter...well, one day we saw her & boss said "why don't you go up to her & try to talk"...I did...she didn't acknowledge me and just kept gliding along, really otherworldly...true story...jimbo
