Asking For Prayer

My daughter who has been such a great help to me these last few months during and after her father's and my husband's illness and death is in the hospital and is now undergoing a simple surgery because she had appendicitis and surgery for that over a week ago but the appendix had starting to rupture and apparently was spilliing out into the abdominal cavity and that has formed an abscess. She has been back in the hospital this time since Saturday and they have been loading her up on antibiotics which have not cleared up the infection so they are in there to put in a draintube plus they will continue to pore in antibiotics by IV to try to clear up the infection.

I am asking all on here that pray to join us as a family in prayer so this will clear on up.

She went home yesterday and I talked to her this morning, and she says she is feeling better and it was good to be home. She trying to get back into the routine of living her life with a few limitations like no heavy lifting, resting when tired and still dealing with the weakness. God has heard and answered prayers. O Lord, you are the God who healed Peter's mother in law of her fever, and cured the ills and diseases of everyone who came to you. You, the same Lord, we pray, please heal Sara's daughter and raise her up from her bed of sickness and restore her to the fullness of health. In Jesus' name. Amen.

The PA came to see her this morning and said they might let her go home on Monday if the drainage from the place had stopped, but it need to stop draining as that would be indicating that the infection was gone. Sara K.

Sad to learn that you had a stroke, James. I hope it wasn't a serious one and that you keep up with taking care of yourself. I had what they called a TIA back when I was about 62. The doctor said I had no brain damage from it, but I could tell and still can tell that something happened. Sara K.

Yes, Nette, Cody lives with me. I try to see he gets meals and clean clothes. I don't know how much longer I can have him here because of his deteriorating condition. In fact, we were going to try to see if we could get him into a facility for at least long enough to get his medicines adjusted because of some behaviors that are going on. Sara K.

Thank you, Beata, I have talked with her, and she seems to be in better spirits this morning, but the place is still draining. The doctor told her he was going to change the antibiotic to another kind that he also has a pill form so she can take it by mouth so that sounds like he is thinking he is working toward sending her home soon. Andrea, she is better in some ways, and she said that the drainage coming out of the area where they removed her appendix is not as bad this afternoon. They are still giving her veinous antibiotics and fluids plus they had to give her potassium today because it was low and her red blood count is lower than it should be. They have done a cross reference on her blood type and done her blood type so they can put some blood on hold if they need to give it to her. She is an A negative blood type. Sara K.

Lin, I just heard from her. She says the drainage tube is not running as much now. They've had to give her some potassium because she has been allowed to eat because of the chance they might have to do surgery plus all those antibiotics have given her diarrhea. I am hoping that by tomorrow she will be much better. Sara K.

Dorothy, I told Phyllis to listen to that Psalms on her phone since she could not hold a Bible to read it because of the IV they had in her arm. These modern phones are wonderful if used properly. Thank you for your prayers and concern. Sara K.

Andrea, I have three children. Tommy, Jr. (we called him Robbie when he was young because he looked like his grandfather), then Phyllis (the mother of Cody, and she is the one that is sick from appendicitis, surgery, cyst that formed after the surgery), and Doris, who is our youngest child and mother of Caleb. Doris has had a whole lot of health problems over the years. Thank you for your questions and prayers. Sara K.

Yes, Nette, Cody lives with me and of course, he is concerned but Cody's illness has reached the stage so that he is not at all right anymore due to his brain disease. Karter her and her now husband's son is the one who will be affected the most if she doesn't do well. Sara K.

They have put a tube in there with a pump pumping out all the infection, fluid and blood, Anaya. I am hoping that is going to get it to heal up like it should have. Sara K.

I just talked to her husband about 30 minutes ago and he said that they gave her something for pain and she was sleeping, but the pump and drainage tube is still filling with infection, blood and fluid so she was in a bad shape before they did anything for her. Sara K.

Thank you, Suzette. I appreciate the prayers. I just heard from her husband who said that pulled 4 vials out material from the problem area, and she told her husband that it was rough but maybe this will get her on the road to recovery. Sara K.
