An Update

Just a short update 

I talked to our son yesterday and he seems okay. He got the pic line out about 2 weeks ago so the infectious disease doctor must think all the bacteria has cleared. He was supposed to go to the surgeon on Monday but the appointment had to be changed. He is still without feeling in the lower part of his body but accompanying that is sharp pains shooting first here then there. They have put him on magnesium and Vitamin D but it hasn't stopped the problem. One pill they had him on was priced at $300 for the prescription so he could not get that and I don't know what he intends to do about it. I/we and him still need your prayers so don't forget to say a little prayer for us when you think of me or read a poem of mine or are riding down the road say a prayer. 

I haven't reported to you about my problem/s since having COVID, but for a year following COVID I just could not get over the symptoms of the illness. I finally went to a different doctor. He is a gastroenterologist but I saw his PA. She said that she would do blood work and a few test. She found that I have a thyroid problem and I had to go to a different doctor to get that checked out. Anyway, I am on medication for that now. I did some research on the internet and found that about 29% of people end up with thyroid problems after having COVID no matter the degree of the illness that they have. My family doctor kept telling me you should be over COVID and your problem is not from the COVID. I am glad that the problem has been found and that I am getting the medicine now. My energy has returned but, alas, I am older so that is a hindrance. During all of this God has not failed me nor let me fall. His strong arm has supported me all the way.
