Our son has been told once again that he will be transferred to the nursing home today. We are waiting for the call to say he is leaving the hospital in Decatur for the home about 30 minutes from where we live.

He is still not well and has a long recovery time to go. He is supposed to stay on the intravenous antibiotics until the end of September. I hope that at time he will be able to go home. Some more of his bodily functions have come back so that is good news for today.

Thank you to all who have thought about us, prayed for us or have sent me a note about your concern. God bless and keep each one of you.

Thank you, Tania. We are still stressed out about him, but I have to let go and let God. He says he has taken out his catheter on his own. I haven't seen him so I don't know. My husband called him this morning and got that information by phone. He wants to be at home looking after himself, so I have to let it go and only do something if he calls or we call, and he doesn't answer the phone. Sara

John, We the family are all stressed out. Tommy, Jr. ended up at the nursing home at 7 P.M. on Monday, and by 5:30 on Tuesday he had gotten someone to take him home. He is at home with no care from anyone, and he has pic lines or ports in his chest and a catheter. Both of those leave his body open to infection and the ports are for the intravenous antibiotics which he has not had since Monday morning. He is supposed to have them twice daily. Just keep praying for us as a family and for him. Some good decisions need to be made about this situation. Sara

Robert, we are still faced with problems. Our son doesn't know what problems he is facing financially yet. He is fighting against staying in the nursing home with all the strength he has. Sara
