Another Change

We have heard from the hospital once again. This time a set back.

Our son is back in ICU. We really don't know exactly what is wrong. A nurse came in to check on him and do his vital signs.

His blood pressure had dropped again and he had a fever.

The last we heard they were going to do another CatScan

We as a family and our son needs you to remember us.

I heard from our son this morning. He sounds so much better and he says he is feeling better. He said one of the doctors talked to him last night and explained how this surgery is touch and go. She said it will take time and he might not ever get back all his bodily functions again.

They did not do fusions on his disc but cleaned out all the bacteria plus did laminectomy from T5 to T9. They took out the staples yesterday so his incision feels better as well.

He said they were supposed to move him back to a room today. We are planning on going up there this morning but of course, Cody won't go.

Missed seeing this Sara. Sorry to know that your son has been unwell . May God give him strength to come out of this hard time of discomfort and tensions. Prayers for his speedy recovery, dear !

Thank you for the prayers and thoughts, Suzanne. Jr. says that he is able to come home and look after himself. He says he is coming today. I won't know until the days end if he is coming or not. I hope if he does that, he will be able to care for himself because I don't want to go through all that again. Sara

Michael, Right now the future is uncertain, but I know Who holds the future. He is still there and is on our side. I just need the wisdom to be able to encourage our son in his condition because he gets discouraged and depressed. They have started him on antidepressants, but it will take two weeks for them to kick in if they work. We still need all prayers we can get. Sara

Thank you, Robert. He still needs the prayers and we do as well. We went up to the big city today to see him in person. He is better after 14 days in ICU but still has a few weeks to go. Sara

Thank you, Sam. We went to the big city to visit him today and I feel like he is better finally, but he still has a long way to go. He will have 4 more weeks of antibiotics. Also, he will have to go to rehab to get back up on going again. Sara

Thank you, Beata. They have found he had a magnesium deficiency and have given it to him intravenously, but he is still not feeling well. I hope when I hear this morning that he is better. Sara

Thank you, Gary. He talked to our daughter, Doris, this morning a little but was really groggy and said he did not sleep well last night. They keep a close check in ICU. We as the family still don't know what is going on but his doctor probably hasn't told him yet either. Sara
