For His Art

Bertrand Woodrow Blandings Dade McGory,
experimental author, took the Galesburg Times
(for which he’d forked three dollars, paid in dimes)
and fed it through his blender. His agenda?
“My latest novel seems a little slender:
I needed random input for the story.”

Premium MemberWoodrow Is Lame

Woodrow's wife is the apple of his eye
But there's been no sex lately and here's why
She told him that he's lame
Every night it's the same
There are other options she wants to try

Woodrow Wilson, back then a progressive
Now considered a wholesale regressive ~
Just think, Hilary / DJT *
What will you soon be ~
  Deplorable compulsive-obsessive

  *If Republican, read 'Hilary'
    If Democrat, read 'DJT'
Alternatively, read 'JRB,' -- (Joseh Robinette Biden)

Premium MemberVeterans Day

The Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel lit red, white, and blue

On the eleventh day of November, there’ll be a crowd.
All day local beaches have folks coming to pay respect,
today as they celebrate Veterans Day solemn and proud.

Armistice Day coincides, Woodrow Wilson vowed,
to work out in peace a new and more justly set.
On the eleventh day of November, there’ll be a crowd.

Caskets are covered, an American flag as their shroud
They salute them and the crosses in the sand, then reflect,
today as they celebrate Veterans Day solemn and proud.

Representing the heroism of those who died allowed,
Americans to honor all five US Armed Forces select.
On the eleventh day of November, there'll be a crowd.

A women’s veteran day will be recognized, endowed.
For their unique challenges, this soon will be in effect,
today as they celebrate Veterans Day solemn and proud.

This day at the pier parade bands play scores loud,
sharing hugs with those who’ve lost and have regret.
On the eleventh day of November, there’ll be a crowd,
today as they celebrate Veterans Day solemn and proud.

Waldo and Woodrow a Walk Thru the Woods

Waldo walked Woodrow thru the woods
They took shade beneath a weeping willow
Next to the weeping willow was a deep dry well
Next to the well was a tall red oak
For the first time ever Woodrows floppy ears stood straight up
The well was dry but when he looked up high
He couldn’t believe in front of his eye
A full bucket of water was about to fall over his head
One two three poor Woodrow now wet as can be
He put out his fist ready to box
behind the oak was a laughing sly fox
The well is dry, completely dry Woodrow & Waldo shoutout and cried
The fox laughed and laughed a few steps away was a beautiful rambling brook
Within seconds their cries turned to a giggle than their giggle turned to laughter
The fox became angered he began to sigh
He rather the two continue to cry
A sly trick indeed
But the two were best friends they laughed and laughed this wrong away
The sly fox couldn’t ruin their day
Angered and sighing now the fox began crying oh how embarrassed he became , he ran away Woodrow and Waldo continued on
laughing and giggling on their fun and happy day

Find Fun From Four

Find fun from four,
Starting with four-wheeler;
A vehicle like fancy car
Comforts the mind of the driver.

The Fantastic Four film
Fills your heart with excitement;
Superheroes emerge victorious
Because of their noble intent.

The Big Four at Versailles
Includes Vittorio Emanuele Orlando,
Woodrow Wilson, David Lloyd George,
And Georges Clemenceau.

The Final Four in basketball
Slug it out in crossover semis;
Conquerors meet in championship,
Vying to win the trophy's bliss.

Look for this nice number,
You can see statements galore;
Seek the joy it truly brings,
Find fun from four.

Premium MemberToday Was Cloudy

Today Was Cloudy
By: Woodrow Odom Lucas
Today was cloudy,
Dark all day,
I wish I had hope,
Come what may,
I saw a homeless man,
And gave him a kind word,
His smile lifted me to flight like a bird,
A bird of flight who fears not night,
Who fears not fate,
Who fears not hate,
But I wish that he was warm inside,
With a woman who loved him like I love God,
And his plan to redeem the Sun and Moon,
I wish we had a better world coming soon,
Do we?
I’m just not sure,
But the sun still rises,
And babes are still true and pure,,

Today was cloudy,
Dark all day,
But clouds don’t last forever,
And neither does suffering,
Suffering is but a momentary eclipse on a sun shiny day,
And soon I’ll say I love you,
Valentine’s day is coming,
And I have no partner yet,
But I’m warm inside,
And that homeless man was freezing,
I wish he was warm inside with a woman who loves him like I love God,
Because in the end we all smile like that man smiled at me today,
In the end we all say I love,
And we mean it!

American Green

American green

The tree of life gave birth to a nation and these men who helped nature
shape it. The father of our Country George Washington the 1st President.
There is Thomas Jefferson author of the Declaration of Independence.
There's ol' Abraham Lincoln issuing the Emancipation Proclamation
he enforced, and Alexander Hamilton the first Secretary of Treasury
and most famous dueler of course. What about Andrew Jackson the Indian
remover and election winner but loser, or Ulysses S. Grant victorious Union
General, boring President. Next is William McKinley Spanish-American War
winner and assassination receiver. Don't forget Grover Cleveland only man to
be elected president, then lose, then get elected again. Our third President
James Madison who fathered our Constitution and a guy named Salmon Chase
but ambition killed him. Last on this list Mr. Woodrow Wilson who brought us into
and out of World War I, that was fun...Do you yet see these men's commonality?
They are the faces of our wealth for they are all money green...

Conservative Man

Woodrow Wilson said,"A
conservative is a man who just sits
and thinks, mostly sits."
Well, if he mostly sits,
I call that laziness.
If his feet were planted firmly in the
air, like FDR says,
At least he's not a radical.
