Just Pinch Me
I write this poem as I depart
Thanking God I have given you my heart
I know he will shine on us for rest of our life
Only God knows my joy that He made you my wife
I want to shout to the universe how I really feel
As I lay down beside you and before God I kneel
Graditude, love and joy in you is all I see
And in my faith and knowing I ask would you “Just Pinch Me”

I am writing of a person that means so much, she can fill my heart with just one touch.
This person completes my life, Of course this person i write of is my wife. She brings to my
world so much love, I know she is a blessing from above. To say she is the love of my life is
insufficient, because the difference is quite magnificient. To say how much i love her no
words can say, because i love her more each day. We were blessed enough to be husband
and wife, but God had one more change for our life. He made us a mother and a father,
together we made one beautiful daughter. Cheryl i am blessed to be your husband this
much is true,Cheryl i really really do love you. If we love each other God lives in us-1 john

Shaving cream covers up the truck missing a left side window
Backyard lawn is freshly mowed folding chairs assembled
Trailer has been freshly scrubbed the scent of pine still lingers
Ready for the wedding day of Bubba James and Ginger
They’ve known each other all their lives even quit school together
Rumored that somehow their kin but that has yet been founded
Dated off and on for years come Spring a new arrival
Now she’s knocked up dressed in white, God help the child’s survival
The crowd has gathered to celebrate the union of this couple
Indeed a sight to for all to see two hands placed on the bible
Bubba James half drunk with shame with Ginger’s delicate condition
Say I do, a prayer is prayed, the party soon commences
Will their life bring happy times or a road of pure destruction
Pretty soon the child will come and test their own survival
Only God and fate can answer this too soon to draw conclusions
Just hope and pray for it’s too late to stop this white trash union

You are the essential part of my life
My awareness and pride striking hype
You are insignia of my existence
Interstellar in my reminiscence
In this world of choices and by chances
You hold my hands to hurdle in races
Always bargaining for my achievements
Through ups and downs, I run for confinement
We share each day, passion and offering
To Almighty God for brighter upbringing
Of our child to receive our guidance
And give us a pure strength and endurance
I thank God for blessing of you to me

My wife and I have seen it all
The very spot were demons call
No will to leave or will to fight
Two lost souls living in the night
But in each other what we found
Two beating hearts one single sound
I love her more than words can say
She is the light that guides my way
She is the light that guides my path
She is the numbers in my math
If one plus one then equals two
She’s the meaning of all I do
She’s the smile that starts my day
The sunset that fades it away
Of all we do and all we are
Know my wife is my guiding star
For her I shall be all I can
A kind and gentle loving man
Our love is written in the stars
Our love has melted prison bars
Our love overcame addiction
Stronger than any affliction
Stronger than any test of time
All things from God end up divine
See that’s the blessing of our love
A divine gift from God above
What I cherish the most in life
I am a man who loves his wife
She is the better half of me
Always has been, always will be
Speaking on love all I can say
She made me all I am today
I have no need for tarot cards or crystal balls
or superstitious charms of any kind,
to tell me that when God created women
he must have made you with me in mind.
I think he put my dreams and prayers together
then sent her to make my life complete,
and created a unique situation
enabling the two of us to meet.
He made our hearts beat in unison
and our chemistry react to each other,
tied it all up with a ribbon of love
so that we became one another.
For this I am eternally grateful
to him I owe a debt I cannot pay,
but for every moment spent together
I give thanks to God everyday.
She always took the bad and somehow turned it into good,
She always has an answer, like how walking in faith is often misunderstood.
Even in great pain she can always find a smile,
And brighten up my day if only for awhile.
She loves to pray to God and does it everyday,
She prays for friends and family that all things will be okay.
She prays for our country that once again our vision becomes focused and clear,
And into God’s mighty arms we lay our burdens and our fears.
She is a blessed child of God that reads His Words each day,
And loves to share the gospel, that is what it’s for you’ll hear her say.
Her friends she loves and holds quite dear,
Her heart is open and sincere.
I guess I’m mighty lucky to call this girl my wife,
Thirty eight years and counting she’s been my very life.
So God if You are listening, I know You know her well,
Her love for You never wavers, she knows You cannot fail.
