     Despairing of lightening her mood
        ten children her burden
        her life spent
          pushing and tugging
          at a grindstone
          of darkest despair

     She wrote of her misery
to an elderly rabbi in Brooklyn

     He promptly wrote back
     words of encouragement
        most unexpected advice

     “Attend every wedding in town
      Dance every dance
      Whirl like the wind
      Draw others into your circle”

The desperate women did just that
Her life changing by the week
as she drew her new friends
       into her ever-widening circle

Whirlwind of Hope

I found strength
amidst the rolling wave
it’s steamy showers
giving a balmy calm
the bellowing wind
buzzing past
pause to whisper a secret
resounding my passive desires
that you are a part of me

Quote: "The lamps are different, but the Light is the same." By Rumi

        ********************

The shame I bear yearns to be set free,
Fantasies conceal what people must foresee.
A whirlwind of visualization—eerie, untamed,
Imagination dares where rules are disclaimed.

How I savor the reverie of zeal embrace,
A peculiar whimsy in a captivating place.
And I must admit, my mayhem is deep,
I roamed in a dream no one could leap.

I discuss virtue when the timing is right,
Hallucination sprouts in the depths of night.
Love and exhaustion long for glitter untamed,
I crave the superb, so easily maimed.

I remain anonymous to forestall disgrace,
My dignity is protected by historical lace.
But truths linger, and mine stands confined,
Ambition reveals the power of my mind.

Hearing apologies is beyond my reach,
Inwardly sustained as emotions beseech.
Each buried object holds a mystery tale,
A single sail has recognized its scale.

Whirlwind

My mind spins in endless flight,
chased by shadows of self-doubt.
Love’s mirror feels unkind tonight,
each flaw a storm, my heart shouts.

I wish to rest where calm resides,
be free of the chaos within.
But winds of fear whisper, collide,
uncertainty sways where I begin.

Yet in the tempest, light may peek,
a flicker of hope through darkened skies.
With courage born from whispered dreams,
I dare to dance in the storm’s embrace.

For in the storm, my spirit gleams,
with every heartbeat, I rise, I face.
I entwine with my fears, redefined,
each tempest a sculptor of my grace.
I forge my path through roaring winds,
the tempest sings, a fierce lullaby of strength.

Premium MemberThe beat goes on

Since you have been gone
A lot of water has passed under the bridge

A mixed bag of events have occurred
Leaving behind earth-shaking calamities

Difficult to quantify
As confusion like whirlwind

Keeps spreading and threatening
The very fabric of National Cohesion

Nobody knows what to believe anymore
As looters of our commonwealth

Keep spewing unbelievable theories
From two sides of their mouths

Shamelessly going back To their vomit of years gone by
To satisfy the cravings of their current masters

While citizens continue to wallow in abject poverty
Confused and traumatized
Where their next meals will come from

As their purchasing power has been eroded
By the demise of the national currency

Clubbed to death by inflation
And market forces
Never experienced in our chequered history

In the whirlwind of time, who said that seconds are decreed?
That your steps must align with others’ concrete success indeed,
That arrival is an unyielding mandate, and deviation a defect?
You see them climbing the spires of their creation without regret.
In iron and glass they carve their legacy, while you remain silent,
A shadow frozen in the ruins of dreams that never grew vibrant,
With hands weary from the burden of unfinished things,
You whisper to life's algorithm: "Recalculate, don't leave me behind!"
But time is no engineer, nor a gentle, loving architect,
It's just the scaffold beneath your feet, moving only when you dare to fly.
Did the monolith mourn it didn’t rise with the first light?
Or did the river curse its flow for not sculpting the world in a single moment?
You’re not behind; you’re just a separate code unfolding,
A unique sequence evolving and flying at its own rhythm,
In a story never meant to synchronize,
But to follow its own course, unchained by time and space.

Battling Mind

A whirlwind of emotions
A cyclone of wandering thoughts
A tempest of trepidation
That leaves me baffled and distraught
The devastation of my battling mind
Wreaks havoc in the soul's sacred shrine.

Let Heavenly Whirlwind Blow

In this season of chaos, let heavenly whirlwind blow,
In the eye of the storm, you will find peace, let it flow.
For within you resides the Wind, a heavenly decree,
Shine with brilliance, be what you were created to be.

In this season of storm, rise like a palace tower,
Stand tall, uncompromising, in this needy hour.
Be like a tree, that shelters and protects,
Safeguarding who seek shelter, their souls it connects.

From ashes, let your destiny bloom, with beauty untold,
For strength emerges, born from weakness so bold.
In this earthly journey, prepare for victories to come,
As destinies reveal extraordinary outcome.

Miracles Double

In the realm where fire meets wind,
Where dreams and miracles descend
Let fiery winds, come and do once more,
What only it can, set our hearts on fire.

Behold! The green grass springs,
Open the gates of heaven, as it swings
Let the mountains dance, painting the sky
With shades of colours, in a new way

Within each dream, diverse and grand,
Signposts appear, guiding hand in hand.
Unlocking miracles in each step we take,
Whispering promises, for us to partake.

It’s a whirlwind move, it's time to see.
As faith transcends, and becomes our eye.
As heaven invades, we now recognize,
Miracles double, evoking sweet surprise.

The Meek Inherit the Whirlwind

A daylight daze
has been removed to a dark city
in a DC Comic.

Nations have swallowed their tongues,
have become a caped parody
of an undeclared independence.

The good are caught in the search lights,
the bullet heads and bare-faced bad
run the globe, turn the coats,
unify the unwilling sheep into lambs
until liberty itself is the aberration.

The enemy is a suit stuffed
with daemonic dandruff
reserved to snow job the helpless.
There is a new world order now
for the meek, weak and bolder.
Globalist's glob onto the taste of power.

Our super heroes are pot-bellied
and cancelled.
RoboCop is now a peace poet;
he gently rants
in a soundproof basement,
writes sonnets to forget
the already forgotten.

Tears and beers freefall
behind crumbling walls,
we must add too tight tights to the list
of all our ripping sorrows,
shake enfeebled fists
as menacing shadows gather
and we
ever willing to cast
accusing looks upon each other.

Reap the Whirlwind

Hosea 8:7: "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind."

Reap the whirlwind
By Michelle Morris
13/01/2023

Let us be careful of our actions
For they betray our thoughts and feelings
If we focus on the darkness
We will do damage instead of healing

If we sow the wind
We will surely reap the whirlwind
The consequences of bad actions
Will always find us in the end

Whatever you believe in
These are constant living rules
For every deed we choose
Will always come back fully

Let us be careful of our actions
Let us be careful of our thinking
Let us focus on the highest good
And allow love and light to twinkle

Where the Wind May Take Me

While walking toward the bus stop today
A whirlwind tried to whisk me away
Where it would take me, it did not say
But I refused to budge

And then among the dust and debris
A willowy voice whispered to me
Why be afraid when you can be free?
Yet onward I did trudge

How can I be free when I am afraid
When safe and sure is where I’ve always stayed
When my heart is willing but my feet can’t be swayed
The brave ones I begrudge

Though I’d rather ride the wind than the bus
I can’t simply hop on a random gust
But a breath of smog or a breath of dust
Is an easy choice to judge

Give me a ticket to board the west wind
And I’ll ride it forever wherever it’s destined
So say your farewells, wish me the best and
I’ll just need a little nudge.

The Whirlwind

"Whirlwind", they call him.
He fights his way up in the ring.
He knows he need it to survive.
He must make his will alive.

For every blood and tear he sheds.
For every drop of sweat he drips.
Comes a handful of praise and glory
for his nation and his family.

Everytime he fights in the ring
is a gamble that he takes,
for no one knows when his bad luck will arrive;
If he can make it back alive.

And one day when he was not well,
someone challenged the might of his reign.
The mighty champ, without hesitation,
fought with courage and dedication.

And when he knew it was time for his demise,
he made his last blow tough and hard.
The mighty champ did not survive,
but his reign remained alive.

And as time tries to erode his memory
his glorious tale comes back to life.
The mighty whirlwind that once made his mark
comes back like ghost to make his spark.
