Premium MemberAll You Thirsty, Come to the Waters

I strive to place God as the be- all and end- all of life
  I know He watches over me as a caring father.
        When storm clouds rise high in my sky,
      I look up to Him for guidance.
              He gives company in my loneliness,
    Gives hope, when down in the ditch of despair.

  As I walk in darkness, whenever I falter and fall
      His gentle words keep ringing in my ears
              “Come all you, who are thirsty
        Come to the waters”- (Isaiah-55)
               Yes, I turn to the living waters
    And drink deep from the wellsprings of His love.

   In my sojourn on this earth, his love pilots me
        When storms rage fierce and breakers rise high,
     I turn to Him who once rebuked the wind,
        And calmed the waves of the tumultuous sea.

           With childlike trust, I give my hand to God
  And ask Him to hold it tight, never letting go.
        I know, God is pleased with my absolute trust in Him
     And also, my resolve to love all of His creation.

     Let every atom of my being throb with His filling love
        May it spurt like torrents to form the gushing stream.

Water gives -
Troubled waters to wade,
Holy Rivers to bathe,
Break of waters, for birth and re-birth,
Font for sprinkles and signs made,
Medium and milieu for Chi,
Steep of leaves for tea,
Drinks to receive,
Washes to revive, relieve,
Rains to come,
Wells to fill,
Thirst to quench,
From wellsprings of water,
Forever distilled, wet
With the Spiritual
Everlasting!

Premium MemberThe Spell of the Blessed Water Diviner

They called him the dosser.
A blessed man with a crooked,
bent and wobbly wishbone of wire,
held tight in clenched fist.
He fossicks spellbound
for water hiding deep below
in the groundwater.

His fingers compel the water
sleeping fifty feet down
to hear his call,
and echo a reply forthwith,
with a signal on the wire tap.
On some hot dry afternoon,
dumb with drought.

If he lets you watch him,
you'll see the wire tremble
ever so slightly,
and swing to one side.
Often he'll backtrack,
reset the grip,
cover the same ground,
to see if the quiver,
and swing repeats.
Then, 'X' marks the spot
for the farmer to dig.

The water diviner knows not why
he has this insight to feel
the presence of water beneath his feet.
It was pure happenstance that
he learned he had the gift when
a true believer gave him a try.

Perchance, you too
may have the diviner's gift.
To conger the wellsprings
of water deep within.
To reveal its
secret whereabouts,
with a wiggle of wire,
held tight in a believer's fist.

Skull

The first thing to unhinge is its lower jaw,
the skull now (sometime in your future),
gnaws the recollection of its bygone face.

It must use the roaming poems of restless winds
as its surrogate voice.

When you are no longer its hands, pick it up,
kiss that sad dome, where its forehead
once pondered upon the meaning of meaning.

Your own eyes are now the very wellsprings
of a hidden depth, which was always the
unsolved mystery of you.

Now here in your illumined hands,
you cradle the foolishly grinning remains
of what you once called God,
yet you were not wrong
for even God moves on.

Premium MemberSheer Magic of Happiness

“Happiness is contagious. It can be sparked by one single happy man, making it spread into many, as a small amount of yeast ferments large quantities of dough" – By Poet

Happiness is seeing beauty in simple things.
It is drinking nectar from the wellsprings of our heart
We sense it as we listen to the sweet warbling of birds.
We see it on the beaming faces of children in gregarious company.
We feel it as we watch the clouds painted in pretty patterns and shades
In the burgundy blush of the welkin, as sun gets ready for his rest.
In the beauty of the moon, shimmering on the silvery waters.

Happiness flits round the innocent face of a babe,
As it is nestled close in the cosy warmth of its mother.
It is the sparkle seen reflected in the eyes of a mother,
As she cuddles her baby tight to her throbbing bosom.
It sneaks into young hearts with sweet whisperings of love.
It hides in deep caverns of the mind, jumping out unexpected,
But may withdraw into its secret hideout, when invited.

Happiness is something that we seek, but sadly it eludes our hold.

The Verge of April

Green twigs drip late into the day,
birdsongs bloom from the windblown.
Soft are the veins that leach from new leaf.
Sweet the prodigal sap that seeps.
Earthworms salt and curl in the opulent swirl,
swell in the muddy and proclaiming.
Full are the snuggery wombs.
Full the burgeoning buds.
Fulsome the wellsprings,
the green hush of new awakenings.

Inspiration

Through the breathless comma of anticipation
I search for words that yearn to walk
A smokeless incense of inspiration arises
Pulled back from fleshless graveyards of bleak

Pale dawn stumbles from midnight to forget,
Splashing auroras of platinum mist
Breathing fireflies into tombs of musky indigos -
Endless effervescence of grace.

Silk ribbons of ice melt into wellsprings
Present tense of the divine dawn.

Summer Quatrains – Swap Quatrains 6-19-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summer Quatrains
Silk ribbons of ice melt into wellsprings
With jubilant serenades, heartfelt,
Frozen heartbeats freed from rime flow on wings
Into wellsprings silk ribbons of ice melt.
The brooding nimbus bows to solstice’ clouds
Dandelion days doze in clover now
As the Dayspring moon chants reveries out loud
To solstice’ clouds the brooding nimbus bows.
The rumpled season rides on wings of change,
Dancing in the ether where dreams abide,
Somersaults o’re a wishing star’s exchange
On wings of change the rumpled season rides.
In summer’s sunlight winter’s rose arises
Past the melancholy veils of dark starlight
Opens silky buds, rapture’s surprises,
Winter’s rose arises in summer sunlight.
The Dance of... Dance of Dances 6-13-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dance of Dances

Silk ribbons of ice melt into wellsprings
The dance conundrum breaths in fresh sunlight
On the breath of new buds flies crumpled wings
Widowed autumn shape shifts to starry nights.

Wearing fancies of each day’s longer light,
In waterfalls of fragrant floral veils,
Crimson partners with pale blooms in delight
Autumnal rumbas two step with green vales.

Adversary days of heat on cold plains
Sway into the rhythmic cycle’s dances,
Dreamy pas de deux of wax and wane
Unbroken circle.  Eternal romance.

The season’s dance of dances swells with life.
Leaves the lyrics for new dawns and nightlife.

Premium MemberSpring Sonnet

Lipogram Sonnet 4-12-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spring Sonnet
Spring bursts out from winter’s silent cocoon,
Fluttering luminescence on new wings,
Freed up from the midnight’s monochrome womb
Silk ribbons of ice melt into wellsprings.
Thin borderlines edged in dull grey on white,
Feeling the tickle of divine kisses,
Explode in hues borrowed from the first light,
Colors flit over icy snow with bliss.
Gliding on the virgin winds’ new story
Neon wings trickle colors on flowers
In purple tendrils of yellow glory,
From solstice sleep life returns in showers.
Young springtime emerges, from restive sleep,
Rising with morning - promises to keep.
Premium MemberUnwavering Passion
Mysteries of bliss,
Why does joy's cool shiver heal?
Whitney's breathless song
Whispers down my back,
Zipping along my spine's track
Mysteries of Bliss.
Emotions ablaze,
Clutching my chest, my heart blaze
rapture burning flame.
In your screams, I heard,
Torn scars etched upon your soul~
My heart bled for you.
Thirst quenched, love blossoms,
Screams silenced, scars find solace,
Unbreakable bond.
Thirst plagued my spirit,
I delved deep, wellsprings of care,
Bloomed, together whole.
Aching feet find rest,
My hands caress away stress~
Love heals, makes us blessed
Glimmers of insight,
Mirror unveils hidden truths~
Sadness, now set free.
Serenade at dawn
Now just faint whispers at night
Loneliness takes hold
Lost in whispered breeze,
Songbird's perch, weeping willows
Silent garden mourns.
In strokes of anguish,
A soul finds solace, unbound,
Blotched palette, reborn.
Flowing such a gentle brook.
Premium MemberAway In a Cloud Ship
Away on a Cloud Ship…
Away on a cloud ship
 Not a care have I
I play with the breezes
 Way up in the sky
I ride on the rainbows
 As cloudy storms cry
Then sail with the eagles
 And soar on their sighs.
The cool air floats past me
 Like gossamer wings
I float on the air streams
 That rise like wellsprings
And join with the nimbus,
 As cloud songs we sing -
To somersault, hopscotch,
 In airy handsprings.
I high five with thunder –
 See glory ablaze –
Then gather up sunbeams
 For dark rainy days
And make chains of moonbeams
 From soft, moonlit rays
To raise up to God’s ears
 A new psalm of praise.
Premium MemberHalo
I've never worn a pair of angel wings
There's no glowing halo above my head
but my tears flowed like water from wellsprings
when someone I love was wounded and bled
My heart has been bruised and it's been broken
There's no glowing halo above my head
'cause I've damaged hearts with words I've spoken
and then been sorry for things I have said
I have bared my skin and revealed my soul
There's no glowing halo above my head
I confess that sometimes I lose control
Can't change one thing about the life I've led
I have scars inside that no one shall see
There's no glowing halo above my head
No angelic wings, soft and feathery
I’m simply human, seeking daily bread
