Sherlock Holmes

When Holmes ejaculated,
'It doesn't take a brilliant detective
to identify many of the people
on this planet are damaged or defective,'
Dr. Watson was heard to observe,
'Never a truer word spoken.
Most we meet, at 221B Baker street,
are utterly, if not completely, broken.
Psychologists reason, 'Conditioning's the cause
for them to follow such absurd routines,'
but it's my considered and confirmed belief,
insanity

Off-the-cuff, like Dr. Watson, no ego, how so?

Needing no reason, you just enlighten.

My Pet Poems, Watson

Watson

“This is a definite, future champion,”
The breeder stated knowingly, as
He’d raised a few.  So, we debated calling him
Sherlock, the royally-held-high detective of all
British literature. “See,” the breeder had added,
“His long ears, nearly touching down
To the ground! A standard for winning!”

But, what we saw in the small, perfectly shiny,
Entirely all-black ball, who lay in Jim’s

Murder Afoot At 221 Baker Street

Sherlock and Watson looked at the woman with blank expressions
What they had were some totally unique impressions
Watson was looking at her, thinking what a poor little thing
Sherlock was wishing the 221 Baker Street bell still did not ring

Her story was not sound in any sort of way to Sherlock who was not fooled.
Watson was ready

Part the first
Sherlock could not deduce his source of pain
at first. “Try as I might, I cannot find
the cause – is it contusion, or a sprain?
Perchance a mere psychosis of the mind?

Spying while drinking and smoking cigars
Ready to break his crime case
And take down the shady place
While Watson safely waited in the car

The hissing of the steam 
The hairs on our necks begin to bristle 
As we meet the arrival of a dream
