Notes About The Poem

Moriarty represents an ideal criminal mastermind who uses his intelligence and resources to provide other criminals with crime strategies and sometimes protection from the law, all in exchange for a fee or a cut of the profit. Trump and Moriarty have many similarites, but Trump surpassed Conan Doyle's villain by lying and creating a cult following. Cult members just want a stress free life and have unshakable belief he will handle everything for them. Logic and evidence will not dissude them from seeing D.T. as some kind of savior. Dr. Watson might ask if the cult members (you know who you are) will remain unscathed by the incipient project 2025 (lol)!! Good luck to us all trying to escape.

Thanks Hilda, a very cute and funny comment. No doubt some policies of the left felt to you like a poke in the eye. Many didn't like that. Some of us were horrified by it. That lack of understanding provided an entry for the anti-christ psychotic party. We'll need a guardian angel and some luck over the next four years. Not sure about either.

IE, you're no doubt right about politicians regardless where we reside. The same conditions exist in many places. I try making these as funny as I can, so in this case, perhaps I succeeded. It's quite a show, but not one where we just get up and walk out even if we don't like it.

Hi Anne-Lise, apparently it's a function of lack of education and inability to analyze information. The cult followers want to have an easy life and not have to think about some of the unpleasantries of normal living. They can't or won't follow a root cause analysis, but would rather glam onto simple sounding fixes. These situations usually do not end well. As you infer, it's difficult for a thoughtful or engaged person to make sense out of this kind of selfishness. I have had personal experiences with several narcissists throughout life and work. I expect much pain will result from what we're about to witness--sad to say.

Nette, that's a funny observation! His advisors have reported arguing with each other. So, in the end, we'll probably see some pretty strange and destructive behavior. Question? How many narcissists can fit in the same room? Answer: It depends on how the caskets are arranged! Maybe I should have asked...how many normal people can fit in the same room as a narcissist? If you've ever been around someone who has a serious dose of this ailment, you will certainly understand what can and will happen.

My dear Tom, your deductive logic appears on target as usual. I just read an interesting letter from a historian/college professor pointing out that our adversaries would like nothing more than to see us destroy ourselves. It's the easiest path for them to have us sabotage our own nation. We'll see how this progresses every day from now on.

Thanks Karen. Seems as though we are trapped for now. There are going to be some very interesting shoves and resists to them that we'll see playing out soon. BTW, a university president I've met just suggested all the students doing studies overseas make certain to return to the USA before Jan 20th. It may be difficult for them to get back here after that. Smiles!
