            Dripping
         through lines
    without any edges,
your slurred speech paints 
          watercolors.

Water World

I had always loved being near deep-sea water, and I was never too far away,
As the beauty of fresher tomorrow, is but mystic hours from prevalent today.

I enjoyed swimming and boating and surfing, and even walking in light rain,
Like aromatic blooms, shrubs and thirsty trees, with no reasons to complain.

I lived in a sun washed

Watercolor memories paint
 Enchanted mountains in my mind,
 And sunshine's glow upon my face

 Time to reflect and reacquaint
 With friends so treasured and kind,
 Reconnecting with God's grace

 I felt joy, I had no complaint
 With stars above I felt aligned
 Like a time traveller in space

 But time is not without constraint

mother taught me about gardens ...
        all winter she would ponder ...  and make plans
       selecting flowers by texture and shape
      in a tapestry of colors
    like bright sun jewels
and on planting "day"

of the long day's city heat
blurred traffic light reflections 
painted puddles on the street.

Abstract Watercolors

I was cooped inside all the afternoon,
Missing tree and bush and garden madness;
But from my window I saw abstract blooms,
In rain's watercolors, nature's canvas!

They brightened the day, in absence of sun,
While the storm distorted without mercy,
Views of bold colors, from the lush season,
As the frantic blooms made many a curtsey.

It is that the start of a new day offers potential
And the second chance we so often need:
For life is a series of mistakes interrupted by temporary successes
Which masquerade as victories for some and defeats for others;
But both are illusions and their colors can be,

Teardrops on my lashes
clinging oh so tight
afraid of falling down
and melting on the ground.
 
So delicate and fragile
like each minute of the day
as a new one starts to form
the old ones fade away
 
Just a simple reminder
all the good that's kept inside
may someday go unspoken
as it's washed up in the tide.

often than I care to.

the sunset that I so love.

It is painted in water colors
light blue spreading out the farthest
then comes light splotches of white
you can almost see the brush move
as pink and yellow are added 
orange touches the bottom
blending with a rich red 
baby blue is the backdrop
then comes the pink 
its bottomed out by orange
above it lies a thin layer of purpilsh
