August 27 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Lamentations 1-3
Key Verse – Lamentations 1:9 …O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR BEHOLDING OUR AFFLICTIONS
Praise be to God for beholding our afflictions:
Hoisting us from hellish heat
Helping us with His heavenly host
Handling us against hardening howls
Holding us upon His hedging heartiness
Healing us along His health-hewing hands
Lamentations 2:9 Praise be to the Lord for
leading us with His vision so:
Vivid with His Biblical view
Victorious by His blessed valour
Vocal along His best against vanity
Virtuous building us through His verities
Valuable by His bestowments, vanquishing vileness
Lamentations 3:22 Praise be to the Saviour for
His mercies and compassions that fail not to:
Lead us to His light
Love us midst His liberty
Lose us with His leadership
Lift us despite our longings and losses
Link us toward His lasting lessons of life. Amen!

The power to create lies not beyond my grasp
Pawns of my making;
Kings and queens, monarchs and matriarchs
Emperors and empresses, enchantresses and peasants,
Even those who dared defy the gods,
Dare not defy me
An incidental untimely flick of my wrist
Is all it takes to erase your ephemeral existence
From even the most ancient of scrolls
Hidden behind the hushed
Dusty antique secretive oak doors
Of the world of the non-existent
Your fate is just a dark dice
I choose when to roll
Trials and tribulations
Judgement or redemption
Non is far from my caustic imagination.
An easy concatenation of your eternal verities
Can simply make me mess
With the threads of your sanity
And knock at the temples of your sanctity.
Create and destroy, make and shatter
All is just a fragment of my power.
I can make worlds attend their obsequies
And rulers of your time bow at my feet
I would be inclined to let you be known of my presence
But of all, none of you I deem worthy enough
To traipse in the halls of my courts.
As for to whom I owe this ode,
Dearest, are you sure you want to know?

God be praised for our Pastor’s wife
Virtuous woman* exuded by her countenance
Paragon of spiritual lady’s blest fullness indeed
Fulfilling roles with feminine elegance
Graciously living according to Bible creed
Meeting her family's maternal need.
The Lord be thanked for our Pastor’s wife
Possessing faith of steward with servant-heart qualities
Steadfast as a loving mentor of godly influence
Caring teacher and discipler marked by truth-verities
Diligent homemaker as well as prudent* spouse in her reigning prevalence
Midst her mother and grandmother's joyously cheering presence.
Dear Ma'am Dhel,
Blessed birthday to you. We thank God for your life. You are a blessing to us.
*Proverbs 12:4 - A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. Proverbs 19:14 - ... a prudent wife is from the LORD.

My eternal verities remain intact
It’s obvious why you broke contact
When I see your heart
Then I understand why you would react
You want to be my enemy
Did you not know that I had the remedy?
One day we both will end up in the cemetery
So why do you want to be my enemy
I am not on your team so
Stop playing these war games
I despise your ways
Listen to what the Good Book says
But you want to be my enemy
Did you not know that I had the remedy?
You are not the elect
I will keep my respect for you
What do you expect
When you want to be my enemy

Voicing realities
Valued by the spirit
Vows of heart, woes of soul
Valiant faith smiting doubts
Virtues, maxims, adage

Innocently shocked, they surveyed their new abode
midst warm welcome of strangers introducing themselves
sweetly assuring, “We are your family --- starting today.”
Such captivating look would soon grip my heart
when they candidly confronted me with this question I found it hard to explain
to kids, aged six and four… “Why are you now our Mommy?
With truth I prayed to impart, my soul reached out to them
cognizant of their status as siblings among our orphanage residents...
I let them feel my care, and that of my fellow staff along our reverberating: “We love you; yet God loves you so much to bring you here.”
Their understanding vis-à-vis home verities has been enlightened
through bits of life realities along Scriptural precepts:
their exposure to joyous relationships as well as delight for togetherness
bonded with the Lord’s compassion beyond blood and gene’s kinship…
Such enabled them not to be ignorant about family* essence.
*Psalm 68:6 God setteth the solitary in families…

“Poetry is verity none so perfect as mine. lol”
Without verity how boring would that be
Each differently created through thoughts and dreams
Mine is not yours and yours is not mine
Thank God,
Or we would all be wasting our time
What does Verity mean in the Bible?
1 : the quality or state of being true or real. 2 : something (such as a statement) that is true especially : a fundamental and inevitably true value such eternal verities as honor, love, and patriotism.

I would be the pen* in the sovereign Author’s hand
Communicating what He has perfectly planned
Along righteous command of virtuous demand
Toward gracious life that is bountifully grand.
Honoured am I to be gripped with supreme prudence
Exposing heavenly wisdom’s iridescence
Expounding truth of verities’ precious essence
Against the attacks of skeptical impudence.
With prevailing love, mercy and peace as my ink
I can inspire hearts to care as minds of kindness think
Moving commitment beyond dedication brink
Propelling compassion for selfishness to shrink.
As the pen bearing the great Creator’s trademark
I yield to His fingers for miraculous spark
So poems can shine midst nooks in souls hopelessly dark
Drawing them nigh to the Lord and to His voice*, hark.
*Psalm 45:1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

there's change when awoken
in hours dark
where birds are yet to sing
horns sit in the harbours
silent in abandon
I search within the light
across the mighty mighty seas
of antiquity
I don't need eyes
to see
as I feel
your beauty
cutting thru the fog
its fragments, its filters
emoting in the echos
an open mind
it's playing
a harpsichord of hope
tethered
strung out
wrapped around your anchors
and you're still there
in my blindness
a feeling
free flowing
forever reaching
for a future of living
the eternal verities of life
outside looking back
at the sacred temples of glass

As I fall
before God
trusting His sovereign
divine omnipotence…
my faith is fixed
toward verities
of eternal promises!
When I fall
into the hand of the Lord*
braced by His presence
during fervent prayer moments…
my heart delights
around altar's sweet communion
midst worshipful gratitude!
Choosing to fall
for Christ Who checks
every motive
and innermost desires…
my guilt of confessed sins
He does forgive
granting peace sublime!
Now that I have fallen
in love with my Saviour
the compassionate Redeemer
and steadfast Fortress of my soul…
my relationships with others
anchored by His truth
ceaselessly grow stronger!
Humbly falling
under the Almighty
triumphantly fighting for me
against trials, temptations, tribulations…
my care-driven service perseveres with joy
thanking Him, exalting His name by His grace
through His power, and for His glory.
*1Chronicles 21:13 …Let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies…

A self-whispered battle cry
An uplifting quote for another try
With a burdened mind behind a straight face
I have a sense of self like I’m in a dark place
Inconspicuous at the battlefront
Drawn on every single day I confront
A past to escape and a future to nose
I am always one threat away from a lost cause
Regrets and fears dimension each day
Dead ends and blind curves map my way
Picking broken pieces of myself and mopping spills
I have learnt to front chills and thrills
You won’t see me rolling up sleeves
Or lurking in a thicket with rustling leaves
You won’t see me in a belligerent pose
My war is waged against inner wounds and flaws
I am heated but never bubble over with anger
I am insulted but never stumble over due to slander
I absorb the inevitability of sorrow and pain
I turn to verities to diffuse the intrusion of hate
The silence of violence is what I dread
Like the wordless cry of the mutes with a fright
An internal fray so isolated and unheard
In the depth of my heart is where I will win the quiet fight

Hillary R. Clinton is a “woman of substance”
Paragon of lady’s great empowerment indeed
USA’s Former President’s wife of intellectual elegance
Gracious public servant of Democrat-creed
Meeting her constituents’ lawyering-need.
Politician with sterling qualities
She’s a steadfast diplomat, affirmed by her global influence
Writer and public speaker of education impact-verities
Homemaker as well as spouse in her reigning prevalence
Dearest mother and grandmother along her pampering presence.

Powerful! Such is poetry at work…
Oh!!! So overwhelming at its best
Earnest in its evocative essence
True to its communicative trademark
Revealing realities, ready for responses
Yes; verily mighty… stirring you and me.
Precious as a gem, priceless is poetry’s wisdom
Open to all; offering avenues for self-expression
Empathy-laden; examines as it edifies inner being
Tool more than a tongue; touches heart’s verities
Reliever of soul’s angst; reckoning expert
Yonder hope’s anchor; yesterday’s re-liver.
Praise to God is what my poetry proclaims
Overtaken with His blessings, I ought His grace declare
Exalting Him, extolling His goodness constantly
Testifying about His love, unconditional and wondrous
Reporting thru verses, recording by stanzas His greatness…
Yielded am I to Him, my faith’s Author* Whom I live for!

When but a child the world seems set in stone.
Too soon this cozy surety fades and dies;
And verities, like passing clouds, are flown,
Confusing right with wrong and truth with lies:
The ground’s no longer firm beneath our feet.
What once was bedrock now is shifting sand,
While warring interests jostle and compete
And nothing seems to turn out as we planned.
Yet know, my love, that even though all life
May be uncertain, nothing else be fixed,
Amidst confusion, doubtfulness, and strife
One thing is always pristine, pure, unmixed:
While much is inescapably unsure,
My love for you shall steadfastly endure.
