Powerful! Such is poetry at work… Oh!!! So overwhelming at its best Earnest in its evocative essence True to its communicative trademark Revealing realities, ready for responses Yes; verily mighty… stirring you and me. Precious as a gem, priceless is poetry’s wisdom Open to all; offering avenues for self-expression Empathy-laden; examines as it edifies inner being Tool more than a tongue; touches heart’s verities Reliever of soul’s angst; reckoning expert Yonder hope’s anchor; yesterday’s re-liver.
