Utilising Poems | Examples

The days pass, the weeks pass

Could we not at least exchange some crummy
anecdotes about our recent pasts
some poorly recalled bus stop or shop incidents
semi memories of there was this time when

I'll take any half digested subvocal passing thoughts
and an inappropriate and unvoiced yet sincerely held
opinion which you know is safe with me

Throw me a crumb here and I'll toss you
the whole hog utilising my award-winning
(and vigorous) masculine muscles

Instead of flinging it angry apelike
into the webvoid in the form of
incoherent cackhanded freeposts
begging for any minor engagement

Love In Its Purest Form

I once knew a guy,
He always put others first
But what I loved most about him
is that he made me a better version of myself

This guy challenged my thinking,
Unleashed my capabilities,
And most importantly
Made me love myself even more

I used to be so insecure
Detained by the comments of the world
And always craving for approval
But to him I just needed to accept myself because I was perfect in his eyes

His accomplishments amazed me
They pushed me to try even harder
To reach my goals and even surpass them
And what I liked most, was that he walked with me through that journey

I don't think it was coincidence that we met
I think it was at the right timing
When I needed someone to bring me back to my senses
And remind me of how worth it and how blessed I was
How I took everything for granted instead of utilising what I already had.

I Cannot Help Mysely, Its So Good

Amazement as they say
It is about what is going to happen
Appreciation as they bow
It is about what respect stands for
Yhoo, it is too much to swallow
Must I, must I
Continue

As the sea breezy wipes through the air
Treasure it
As the waves moves up and down
Moments of victory
As the water surrounds the feet
Feel the touch
A writer has been reborn

Productivity as they say
It is about utilising what has been created
Resourceful as they point out
It is about intelligence
Yhoo, it is never to be repeated
Now, pat yourself at the back
Future is here

Balance

How one survives the mercurial life
It is the desirable benign equilibrium
Between notions and actions,
Just pondering over potent initiative,
While crouching idle never enhances
Cheerful days hopeful for betterment,
Appreciated is utilising time considerably,
Arduous actions majorly enchant,
When approach is inconspicuous and silent,
In validity of one's prudent deeds,
Echoes vivid perceptive goals,
Reminding each precious moment,
Not emaciated for materialistic delusions,
As tranquility awaits for achiever.

Premium Member Peculiar Passage

The walls open their eyes just as
the mantises begin to weave
a loving celestial vibe, incensing
the onset of this boundless drive
Not questioning if one will retain
sentience, escaping for a time
confinement within her hive

machine-like serpentine's
propel mega metallic craft
exerting complex, magically carved
oaken ores
opening dimensional gateways
ascending straight-through
intensified vibrational planes
utilising the great wave
unlocking these secret doors

Fantastic crystal-blue eyed
gnomes with iridescent feather
shaped cheekbones perform
a dance, whilst oscillating
their elongated gold spoons

Traces of a nameless ancient face on
innumerable orange-pinkish moons
within vast space, divinely harmonised
eternally ringing out in high tune

'Topical Tree Poetry: Defined:'
A new form of poetry invented by me, (Mick E Talbot), utilising, the 'shape' poetry format overall. Using the 'snowball' poetry form for the trunk, and any form that makes for a good canopy. The subject material must be "topical", ie, trending, current, historical, events.

The format: The canopy; any form of poetry, 1 stanza, no restraint on the number of lines. Lines not to exceed 12 syllables.
The 'trunk'; a form referred to as a snowball. It starts with the smallest word alluding to the topic, then using synonyms increase in size by 1* letter, ending in an antonym, refer to my example poem. The whole must be centered.

* Try to make the trunk branchless, the odd knobbly bump or hole not a problem. (The latter will happen at times). You can by hitting the space bar make the branch/es, hole/s appear on one side of the trunk, Or the other, just an afterthought ;-) Mick
