Upright Poems

Premium MemberUpright, Up High

 Up High, Upright
Ever of Light, I Transcend the hands of time
I Transcend the Illusions of life
like a Djed Pillar, I'm Electrified
I AM Four Times Higher '
 Four Times Greater Than Fire,
 I'm Electric Like
I AM Electric Bright in Electric Might,
 Ever Upwards into the Sky
I Shine Wise, In Flight I'm Hawk Eyed
So Glorious, I'm Sunborn SOLAR REXUS
I Solar Flex, I Illumine in Greatness

Premium MemberThe Upright Receive All That's Good - Psalm 84: 11

The Lord God shines like the sun
amidst the beautiful bright blue sky
the Psalmist strikes a lyrical chord
brings divine favour with splendour on high

The Lord God gives grace so plenteous
always sufficient for whatever you need
all of this brings God His own glory
it all started with just a single seed

The Lord God is the author of all good
everything He creates is simply superb
invites all to come and receive
God's very best makes you want to serve

The Lord God looks for the upright
seeking them out for His own plan
being found in the will of God
such blessings come for the faithful stand

The uptight receive all that's good
such goodness comes from God alone
this is sheer mercy and benevolent love
such love Jesus came for our sins to atone

(For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favour and honour.
No good thing does he withhold
    from those who walk uprightly.)

There- My Upright Stand Rests On Solid Rock

No day have I ever work with the clock,
Come sun; come moon to running time's relay...
There- my upright stand rests on solid rock.

While sun shines; upon my sweats, my hands knock...
Wealth's door at health's risk- foot bills I delay.
No day have I ever work with the clock.

Boys are not stones; men are not rock to mock,
If demands can't be met despite survey,
There- my upright stand rest on solid rock.

Honor men: burden carriers that unlock,
Scary box of obligation's dismay...
No day have I ever work with the clock.

Appreciate strength, will and pain men block.
Happy world international men's day!
There- my upright stand rest on solid rock.

With hope to meet up everyday's house stock,
And wish peace and health not be led astray.
No day have I ever work with the clock,
There- my upright stand rests on solid rock.

Premium MemberThe Lord Always Good and Upright - Psalm 25: 8,9

Read the scriptures all the way through
clearly teaching of God's attributes
which tell of His being good and upright
aiming to bring out in His people real fruit

God brings sinners to be taught
what He requires in the divine way
this way of righteousness and grace
filling their hearts with His light always

The Lord requires His own be meek
with His wise hand, He shall guide
showing them the correct path to take
so with assurance, they can confide

God truly loves a meek spirit
one that is reverential at heart
that's teachable willing to learn
so to show God they're ready to start

The Lord seeks those of humility
those that God knows to love Him so
united in love full of God's perfect love
showing this to all whether friend or foe

("Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.")
Psalm 25: 8,9 (KJV)

If I love you, I love from the core of my heart.
If I hate, still it's from the core of my heart.
You need help, my efforts are from the core of my heart.
You out smart me, my revenge is from the core of my heart.
If you are good to me, I shall be there for you from the core of my heart.
If you belittle me, I will show you your place from the core of my heart.
If you respect and regard me, I shall give you special place in my heart.
If you ignore me, you vanish from my emphatic heart.
If you hold my hand, trust me I will never let you fall.
If you push me, get ready for your down fall.

Yes, I am emotional. I think from my heart.
Yes, I am revengeful, I hate from my heart.
Yes, my eyes have the power to kill you, I look from my heart.
Yes, I am strong and daring, I have the purest heart.
No one can stop me, till I listen to my heart.

Premium MemberFollow On the Upright Way -Proverbs 16: 17

Look ahead and move on
see God's hand as your guide
don't let your eyes drop at all
tell all to the Lord and confide

Each step on the highway
is one closer away from doom
evil would love to claim you
make sure you give it no room

The key to unlock this way
is turn it away from evil's door
thus then protection is in force
making sure threats are no more

Be determined to keep straight
no diverting from the true way
this preserves your very soul
on this highway everlastingly stay

("The highway of the upright
is to depart from evil:
he that keepeth his way
preserveth his soul.")

Stay Upright

Snowman stood on his big round head
because he had a snowy bed.
He had no socks for his toes
that is why they up and froze
they became frost bitten and red.

Limit the Drinking

Mister Snowman drank too much it was said.
He ended up in the snow on his head.
The cold air made him cough
and his snowballs fell off.
Frost bite is painful, stay at home in bed!

Premium MemberMy Father, Upright

In the twilight
of his life
my father, erudite
said to me

Beware the praise singer
strangers who linger
the beggar, the liar
the lottery bookmaker

Son, he said again
watch travelers at dawn
those seeking gain
avoid the late comer

My father said to me
this is the key
my son, upright
this is your cue

Premium MemberUpright Position

As sun slowly climbs,
so is my wish to leave
      this bed of agony.
In shadows dust gathers
   on rims, wheels,
      between unwebbed toes motionless.
Water flows in one direction,
   thoughts run rampant
      everywhere.
Body fails to manage
   upright position
      ninety degree angle.
Sprawled flat,
   a hateful situation
if it lasts for too long.

Upright and Not Inscrutable
By Franklin Price
9/20/2015

Upright and not inscrutable
Always Constitutional
Never running for an office just for me
Looking out for my constituents
In your best interests are my intents
However else would you think that I could be

Always standing for you here I am
For you my finger's in the dam
Making sure that it will never ever burst
Certifying that the laws we make
Will never your found freedom take
My responsibility is always to you first

Do I detect a hint of doubt
That some of you have found me out
Think that I am egotistically involved
That I will follow party first
Although for you could be the worst
Re-election is my goal I am resolved

I now seek a higher post
So you may raise your glass and toast
That I could be the highest in the land
Find I cannot get there at all
This you may find will bring a pall
Without the rich and things that they demand

Should not be me that you despise
For getting wool pulled o'er your eyes
It's the nature of the modern politic
If I could get there another way
Would still have your back first today
That the rich control us really makes me sick

Dare to bear all
That fling of gall
That sudden fall

Dare to live well
Bear storm and hell
Live what life spells

Dare to be wise
Pay then the price
Rise beyond vice

Dare to be good
In any mood
Love beyond food

Dare to be true
In any cue
Then pay your dues

Dare to be kind
In all you find
In heart and mind

Dare to be clear
Despite your fears
Live vivid cheer

Dare to style joy
Let zest employ
Words you deploy

Dare to live calm
Let cheer spread balm
In charming psalm

Dare to face choice
With steady poise
In active voice

Dare to align
Ply fond design
Fine tact that signs

Dare to just greet
Bitter and sweet
In all you meet

Dare to live right
Look for the light
Love gives sure sight

Dare to be sure
In action pure
Purge vain allure

Dare to be brave
Dare beyond grave
To touch and save
