Premium Member The Inner Self is a Clean Lake

The inner self is a clean lake,
                                                              Reflects blue of the sky,
Even when we sleep, it`s awake
                                                               And marks a divine tie.

                                                                 It is ever clear bright
Leads on the path of light
                                                               Mirrors the truth upright.

Let`s not the inward depth forsake,
The inner self is a clean lake.

Ragas - Part2

Gliding gracefully, “G” came into my life.
Tall, lean, studious, specky guy.
His attitude was just too high!
He would never look eye to eye.
In a few months, we were cutie pies.
He told me, “He likes me, though he took time to realise.”
Pretending to be modest, “Doesn’t that distract you?”, I replied.
I was horror struck when he sighed!
“Your mom’s big scary eyes, always horrify!”
Bursting out of laughter…. together we notified,
“We should better say good bye!”

Cute and naughty, hot and sporty,
Sleek and tall, perfect bratty.
“A”, was very chirpy.
Teachers spinning around, management on merry go round.
His fun and tactics held me spellbound!
After his farewell, from the school compound.
I started missing his naughty missions that would astound.
On a Spring Sunday, my friends were out to droll.
Just then they told me, his visit was scheduled.
There! I saw him! He looked so cool!
He whispered in my ears, “You missed me all this while, your smile is saying it all.”
Who knew! Parents too were out for a stroll!
Perfect timings!!! They stood right in front and mom gazed it all!
He said, “Hi” and my mom replied, “Hope we are meeting for the first and the last time.”
“Set your career, you are sailing on a high tide.”
Ah! This obedient daughter made another sacrifice!

Today my mom asked me, “Don’t you feel bad, when I ruin it all.”
“Yes!” I said, “but your love is above them all.”
“I know whatever you do, is the love for your precious dew.”
“Mom! I don’t want a moment without you.”
“I know, when you find someone worth me and upright,”
“I shall find you standing by my side.”
“My journey has just begun, I have to achieve heights.”

My mom hugged me tight, with oozing ocean in her eyes.
“Yes, I wanna see you reach till the sky.”
“I am happy that my daughter understands me”, She smiled!
“I am blessed to have such a lovely child.”
Laughing out loud, together we said, “We will always cherish these short and sweet love tags!!!

Dare to bear all
That fling of gall
That sudden fall

Dare to live well
Bear storm and hell
Live what life spells

Dare to be wise
Pay then the price
Rise beyond vice

Dare to be good
In any mood
Love beyond food

Dare to be true
In any cue
Then pay your dues

Dare to be kind
In all you find
In heart and mind

Dare to be clear
Despite your fears
Live vivid cheer

Dare to style joy
Let zest employ
Words you deploy

Dare to live calm
Let cheer spread balm
In charming psalm

Dare to face choice
With steady poise
In active voice

Dare to align
Ply fond design
Fine tact that signs

Dare to just greet
Bitter and sweet
In all you meet

Dare to live right
Look for the light
Love gives sure sight

Dare to be sure
In action pure
Purge vain allure

Dare to be brave
Dare beyond grave
To touch and save

As sun slowly climbs,
so is my wish to leave
      this bed of agony.
In shadows dust gathers
   on rims, wheels,
      between unwebbed toes motionless.
Water flows in one direction,
   thoughts run rampant
      everywhere.
Body fails to manage
   upright position
      ninety degree angle.
Sprawled flat,
   a hateful situation
if it lasts for too long.

Premium Member The Upright Receive All That's Good - Psalm 84: 11

The Lord God shines like the sun
amidst the beautiful bright blue sky
the Psalmist strikes a lyrical chord
brings divine favour with splendour on high

The Lord God gives grace so plenteous
always sufficient for whatever you need
all of this brings God His own glory
it all started with just a single seed

The Lord God is the author of all good
everything He creates is simply superb
invites all to come and receive
God's very best makes you want to serve

The Lord God looks for the upright
seeking them out for His own plan
being found in the will of God
such blessings come for the faithful stand

The uptight receive all that's good
such goodness comes from God alone
this is sheer mercy and benevolent love
such love Jesus came for our sins to atone

(For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favour and honour.
No good thing does he withhold
    from those who walk uprightly.)
Psalm 84: 11(ESV)

Night Walk Upright

night
need legs
to walk
upright
nor
to
creep and crawl
but
out of sight

Premium Member My Father, Upright

In the twilight
of his life
my father, erudite
said to me

Beware the praise singer
strangers who linger
the beggar, the liar
the lottery bookmaker

Son, he said again
watch travelers at dawn
those seeking gain
avoid the late comer

My father said to me
this is the key
my son, upright
this is your cue

A Man Should Be Upright, Not Be Kept Upright

A man should be upright, not be kept upright
The guiltless heart is the essence of life upright
The mark of a wise and upright man is just fight

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Making Me Upright

July 11 Scripture Meditations Based on Ecclesiastes 6-8

Key Verse – Ecclesiastes 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME UPRIGHT

Thank You for making me upright midst crookedness’ sight
While straightening my attitude to do right
Enabling me toward faith-maturing height
Strong in facing wickedness’ fight.

Thank You for making me upright midst worldliness’ impurity
While cleansing my heart from vanity
Enabling me toward repentance-sincerity
Sanctified in following Your authority.

Thank You for making me upright midst sinfulness’ defilement
While purging my soul of selfish motives’ element
Enabling me toward holiness-involvement
Steadfast in fulfilling every devoted commitment.

Thank You for making me upright midst foolishness’ interruption
While enlightening my mind for biblical action
Enabling me toward wisdom-application
Settled in choosing stewardship function.

Thank You for making me upright midst skepticism’s haughtiness
While subduing my conviction against intellectual boastfulness
Enabling me toward humility-meekness
Secured in abiding in Your provisions’ goodness.

Thank You for making me upright midst poverty’s challenges
While meeting my needs within Your bounty’s packages
Enabling me toward contentment-surges
Satisfied in learning through Your exhorting charges.

Thank You for making me upright midst trials’ fervency
While empowering my will against trust’s insufficiency
Enabling me toward service-persistency
Sturdy in conquering fears with Your truth and mercy.

Hold the Head Upright

My swollen heart crumbles when I see you
Flakes gather in the pit of my stomach
Thoughts of you yesterday as I approach
Mangle my mind, aftershock of things new
Needles niggle my brain, too bad, too true
I look at you and smile and all the time
“What if” scrambles through my mind. If I were
Honest? To speculate, to turn the screw!

Yesterday you smiled, chestnut eyes so bright
Incomprehensible, this lifeless thing
A consolation to my heart could sing?
I kiss your forehead, cold bone under skin
Today a corpse inside a box; begin
Anguish to endure, hold the head upright!

If I love you, I love from the core of my heart.
If I hate, still it's from the core of my heart.
You need help, my efforts are from the core of my heart.
You out smart me, my revenge is from the core of my heart.
If you are good to me, I shall be there for you from the core of my heart.
If you belittle me, I will show you your place from the core of my heart.
If you respect and regard me, I shall give you special place in my heart.
If you ignore me, you vanish from my emphatic heart.
If you hold my hand, trust me I will never let you fall.
If you push me, get ready for your down fall.

Yes, I am emotional. I think from my heart.
Yes, I am revengeful, I hate from my heart.
Yes, my eyes have the power to kill you, I look from my heart.
Yes, I am strong and daring, I have the purest heart.
No one can stop me, till I listen to my heart.

Stay Upright

Snowman stood on his big round head
because he had a snowy bed.
He had no socks for his toes
that is why they up and froze
they became frost bitten and red.

Limit the Drinking

Mister Snowman drank too much it was said.
He ended up in the snow on his head.
The cold air made him cough
and his snowballs fell off.
Frost bite is painful, stay at home in bed!

Upright and Not Inscrutable
By Franklin Price
9/20/2015

Upright and not inscrutable
Always Constitutional
Never running for an office just for me
Looking out for my constituents
In your best interests are my intents
However else would you think that I could be

Always standing for you here I am
For you my finger's in the dam
Making sure that it will never ever burst
Certifying that the laws we make
Will never your found freedom take
My responsibility is always to you first

Do I detect a hint of doubt
That some of you have found me out
Think that I am egotistically involved
That I will follow party first
Although for you could be the worst
Re-election is my goal I am resolved

I now seek a higher post
So you may raise your glass and toast
That I could be the highest in the land
Find I cannot get there at all
This you may find will bring a pall
Without the rich and things that they demand

Should not be me that you despise
For getting wool pulled o'er your eyes
It's the nature of the modern politic
If I could get there another way
Would still have your back first today
That the rich control us really makes me sick

Upright Mirrors

for beheading the raceme
three bullets went into the bubbling chest the assassins
had come when she was alone with scars
on wings she sailed on voices of silence the melody
had kissed the moon in night without veil it was
dark night for blue hills they killed a bloom
of white jasmines why are you upset my love
she has gone on orange wheels towards the sun
the black sea mourns by throwing the wreaths
back on shore to protect the virginity of fishes
and waves a bleeding god disowns
the green earth

SATISH VERMA

There- My Upright Stand Rests On Solid Rock

No day have I ever work with the clock,
Come sun; come moon to running time's relay...
There- my upright stand rests on solid rock.

While sun shines; upon my sweats, my hands knock...
Wealth's door at health's risk- foot bills I delay.
No day have I ever work with the clock.

Boys are not stones; men are not rock to mock,
If demands can't be met despite survey,
There- my upright stand rest on solid rock.

Honor men: burden carriers that unlock,
Scary box of obligation's dismay...
No day have I ever work with the clock.

Appreciate strength, will and pain men block.
Happy world international men's day!
There- my upright stand rest on solid rock.

With hope to meet up everyday's house stock,
And wish peace and health not be led astray.
No day have I ever work with the clock,
There- my upright stand rests on solid rock.
