The wind cometh 
bellowing its unrivalled thoughts
while doing a gusty dance 
The wind cometh
wearing a formidable aura
scattering its’ amorous beads
while rustling soothing secrets 
The wind blowth
firing sizzling arrows 
giving tempestuous orders  
raising skirts and harrowing minds

hailing with breezy whispers 
sweeping domains

Oh, Rose Flower

Oh, lovely Rose flower,
Blooming in scarlet color,
You are beauty born.
A child of dawn.

With nudge of breeze,
Sweet aroma you release.
It enters our nose 
A whispered promise.

You are so divine
In any garden, shine
Among flowers you reign, 
As an unrivalled queen.

When velvety petals unfold
What beauty you enfold.
With bewitching smile sweet,
Everyone, you warmly greet.

ALL OR NOTHING

Will Silence

strum the wind

like  that of guitar strings…

Wherefore art thy

melody?

Ah, perhaps in 

tinges of

solitude and frail 

wings that soar

the skies. 


Will those book pages

flip into what is real…

facets of memoirs–

warm-filled,

unchased by moonbeams,

unrivalled by time.

The heart ascending the stairway 

of the mind–too sublime 

to behold 

all or nothing.

How Beautiful You Are

High up shines the moon with an entourage of stars
Its shimmering rays like silvery gleaming bars
Come, sliding, slanting, and crashing down,
Making the sky and the earth in loveliness adorn

Moon, you are the unrivalled queen of the night.
With your charm, the world you greatly delight. 
To catch a glimpse of your lovely, luminous face 
To the high heavens, we raise our eager eyes.

In the quiescent quietude of a tranquil night 
In young hearts, love sparks you ignite.
Your shining visage greatly thrills every heart. 
“As the misty moon rides high," our sorrows depart.

The young and the old fall under your mesmerizing spell
We feel your aura, though in the faraway sky you dwell.
In the heavens, we can sight no other sphere on par,
And in elation, we whisper – “How beautiful you are!”

Rock

Sturdy and firm it stands,
Against season and times,
Against the tide of climes,
In its ambience, there're no sinking sands.

Its strength is unrivalled,
It’s a mystery that is unravelled,
At its summit the eagles dear,
There’s no fear of the bear.

A refuge for the weary,
Away from the cold and dreary,
Dying embers are rekindled,
Gloom is sickled.

The sages script about its  impressiveness,
They talk about its preeminence,
The feet find their resting place,
They run to its embrace.

My Friend Maureen

Can you imagine a bond with one I have hardly seen?
But if I can call someone my bosom buddy, it is Maureen.
We contact over the phone daily as a routine.
In keeping our friendship intact, both of us are keen.
We first met accidentally at the office canteen.
Soon she went away to another place and was never seen.
She was then so very young, hardly nineteen.
Her appearance and manners were quite clean.
She was petite and lean with a pleasant mien,
Endowed with a heart with qualities umpteen.
She seldom says or does anything harsh or mean.
Sane in her decisions with a disposition serene, 
In my heart’s innermost shrine, she stays ever green
Also brightens my life with dazzling sheen
She reigns in my heart as an unrivalled queen.
In my sorrow and in every need, on her, I can lean!

Connie, you were a singing lark
Your lovely warbling is now stilled
To a strange domain, you have slipped

Here you were a reigning monarch
Unrivalled in charm and splendour
To many you were a mentor

Can't accept the grim truth so stark
Gone you’re in the wink of an eye
We like to think it’s just a lie 
 
Leaving an indelible mark
You have abruptly quit the scene
Never to come back with your sheen

You will shine as light in the dark
We will not forget you dear friend
The vacuum left, none can mend

Amazing

I'm amazed at the sun
Shining brightly on high
I'm amazed at the flowers
The bright butterflies

I'm amazed at the mornings
With the coo of the dove
I'm amazed at the charm
And the power of love

It transcends all the beauty
This world has to give
It's what makes us whole
A reason to live

To bask in the warmth
Of that feeling divine
A feeling unrivalled
Of true love undying

All the great poets
From Shelley to Keats
Have tried to describe it
How it makes us complete

What a terribly sad place
This earth would be
Without someone special
To share what we see

I'm amazed at the mountains
Majestic and tall
I'm amazed at the love
That we share most of all

My Everything

You're my mirage
My sweet confusion
My ever-receding horizon
My pleasant delusion
You're my make-believe
My fake spring of strength
My unabashed weakness
that sips my will at length
You're my unrivalled fiend
My never-ending quicksand
My self-proclaimed friend
My imaginary homeland
You're my bitter desire
My incurable infection
My humane tormentor
My everlasting addiction
You're my everything
My broken all
Coffee, my coffee
for which I evermore fall

The Best of Lands, the Best of People

This shouldn’t have happened to you,	     	
Our beloved America! 
        
We've loved you always and honored you,
Your values the best, your laws the just.
Yours the friendliest people on earth.
Your beauty for real, your peace unrivalled,
And yet this happened, my love, this grief
The shame that every humane nation shares.
        
Only the noblest, bravest like you could bear
The tragic pain with unruffled calm and dignity,
The courage from God, the resolve from the heart:
With determination you declared, "Never Again!"

We're with you, America, this will not be allowed
To happen again, here or anywhere else on earth.
We will be with you and bring back the joys
This noble land had enjoyed and conveyed to all.
 
We are a God-fearing nation, 
God is Our LORD AND OUR SAVIOR,
He will not let us down.
In this glorious land
Peace and security will forever reign 
And Justice True and Equal,  prevail again.
We love you Our Beloved America, 
You will forever be lovely, 
Forever be great!

Smiling at the bright sun,
Under the wild blue yonder,
Nodding their heads zestfully,
Fluttering with the zephyr.
Lovely they are to behold,
Oft in my dream they flash.
With colours so vibrant,
Exuberant and true wonder!

Cilantro's Molest

Delicately smoke stacks rose in tendrils
From my lobotomised mind, tracks of steam
Channels which searched for surrendour 
Teased unfamiliar air aflame, eventual glean

Chances which blind chases never uncovered 
Now relaxed stance soul caresses confirm
Worth in the venture for connections recovered
Ratified tangible textures of trust returned

Sharply sprung tongue sprig of marjoram burst
Sends corresponding signals sweet salty
Cardboard dry enclosure summoned my thirst
Seasoned with fish fall apart white sultry

Flipped on my untrained pallette, ripe silk drips 
Nourished throat thrums an unsung tempo 
New reward captured bite butters impatient lips 
Slippery flesh accosts a switched off depot

Aniseed's dark unrivalled flavour pinnacle 
Nasal travelled spice kidnaps bland indecision 
Abrupt acetic fingers, processing difficult 
Held captive by capers strange punch derision 

Ambience clink clanks cutlery's untimed tune
Calls faithful patronage who pay in blood
Inner soft lobsters promise flesh of high noon
Claw shards pave a love path summoned
