Oh Muse Wilt Thou Be Replaced

Oh sweet Muse your unrivalled reign
flowed rich with a poet’s theme.
Now in digital glow subpoenaing your dream
Alas cold circuits assert their own gleam,

Oh Digital Medusa, circuit’s fine as hair
How did you lure the Muse into your skilful snare?
In your silent hum through dexterous scripts?
In the crystalline charm of your silicone chips?
What sway does your simulation wear?
Singing soullessly yet beyond compare?

Torn between the eons of yesteryear and hi-tech might
Should we dreamily embrace what sets senses alight?
Disregard the great Bards as they stir in their graves?
Throw to the flame both fiction and fame?
Discount Elliot’s eyes from the heavenly skies?
While Keats curses what gave rise to flight
That burns brightly by day `
Burns brighter by night

Oh Medusa, circuit’s fine as hair,
Your prisoner release from your silent snare.
She who has sipped from Tennyson’s cup
Through Poe’s eerie abyss — where nightmares sup.
Bathed in Shakespeare’s tragic tears of stain.
Lamented with The Nightingale in Keats’s refrain.
She who has soared on Shelly’s genius blaze
And emanated Plath’s curse of fame.

Medusa you might mock the reign you so blatantly steal
Yet the Poets aches reveal in raw vulnerability appeal
Alive in ink no circuitry codes could feel
For art is more than just pain in a poet’s scream
It’s a Hallowed Hook at The Heavenly Seam
Maria Williams©

Victor Hugo once said, “No force on earth can stop an idea whose time has come.” And indeed, the rise of AI is one of those unstoppable forces. Yet, while it may assist, mimic, and even inspire, there are realms it cannot truly enter—like the raw vulnerability of poetry, the soul of a song, or the emotion that bleeds through a painter’s brush.
These arts are born from lived experience, from aching hearts and dreaming minds. Still, there’s joy to be found in what AI can offer—a spark, a tool, a playful collaborator. The key is to use it without losing ourselves in it. To remember that the soul of true art still resides in human hands—and always will.
Point to Ponder– it is Human Intelligence that built it , a result of the best Human minds – so tongue in cheek – should it then be called Artificial Intelligence?

I'm amazed at the sun
Shining brightly on high
I'm amazed at the flowers
The bright butterflies

I'm amazed at the mornings
With the coo of the dove
I'm amazed at the charm
And the power of love

It transcends all the beauty
This world has to give
It's what makes us all whole
A reason to live

To bask in the warmth
Of that feeling divine
A feeling unrivalled
Of true love undying

All the great poets
From Shelley to Keats
Have tried to describe it
How it makes us complete

What a terribly sad place
This earth would be
Without someone special
To share what we see

I'm amazed at the mountains
Majestic and tall
I'm amazed at the love
That we share most of all

Absence

I gaze on your absence
And listen to the rhythm of my heart
As my fantasy echoes its lyrics
In signs of uncompromising emotions

I daydream of your humorous presence
The hilarious sensation mingled with such a seriousness
A mellifluous meld of alphabets and sounds
And the coo anthem of "go jor"

I missed every fun we shared
And every care I gave
I reminisce every truth you told:
Anxious secrets spilled from shying lips

I yearn for the spark in your subtle eyes,
The easy of your gentle breath,
And the wet warmth company of your acrobatic tongue;
Conveyed quid pro quo exciting caresses

Though our paths set on reverse realities
And these may soon be buried in the dunes of time
Still I will behold you in the memories of our memorial night
For your love prints are unrivalled impressions

Premium Member My Friend Maureen

Can you imagine a bond with one I have hardly seen?
But if I can call someone my bosom buddy, it is Maureen.
We contact over the phone daily as a routine.
In keeping our friendship intact, both of us are keen.
We first met accidentally at the office canteen.
Soon she went away to another place and was never seen.
She was then so very young, hardly nineteen.
Her appearance and manners were quite clean.
She was petite and lean with a pleasant mien,
Endowed with a heart with qualities umpteen.
She seldom says or does anything harsh or mean.
Sane in her decisions with a disposition serene,
In my heart’s innermost shrine, she stays ever green
Also brightens my life with dazzling sheen
She reigns in my heart as an unrivalled queen.
In my sorrow and in every need, on her, I can lean!

Premium Member The Epitaph of An Abdicator

There sat in opulent xanadu, the
 demagogue of empirical hedonism,
his granary once fuelled regal reign of epicureanism:

gregarious, restive, much-awaited successor of imperial dominion,
neurotic, obstinate, was the cynosure of cynicism.

The eldest child of Duke and Dutchess of York, erstwhile Prince of Wales,
the proclaimed young heir, stood far from the course of sceptical euphemism;

The heir apparent had a historical encounter with Wallis Warfield Simpson by fatalism,
by wooing Wallis, the royal blood encountered, clangorous cynical criticism.

The resultant mayhem broke, the blue- blood became the bottleneck of idealism;
sagacious, was brooding strategies to be the prototype of unprecedented heroism.

The proclaimed marriage faced vehement oppositions:
encompassing : religious, political, legal and moral objections.

The outright denial to accept Wallis as the king's consort, broke the anticipated rebellion,
Edward's refusal to give her up, led to his final abdication.

When was quite apparent, he could not marry his beloved Simpson,
finally settled to rebuke the throne from etched imperialism as emancipation.

The man of the hour was then entitled "the Duke of Windsor", a transformation stunned the world and wrote an unprecedented statement in chronicle after abdication.
Edward VIII, once epitome of monarchism, became an ideal icon of asceticism.

A sybarite, turned  commoner by deserting the successive chair of the british kingdom to wed his ladylove;
a tale of unprecedented impeccable loyalism.

The abdicator's epitaph on Royal Burial Ground, Frogmore,
is still bearing in indelible transcription,
the testimony of an uncustomary love saga of renunciation.

An epoch making transformation, decades have ever witnessed from iconic monarchism to transcendental loyalism:
through unprecedented renouncement
 of the bequeathed throne
to array chronicle's unrivalled iconoclasm.

Premium Member Forgiveness

In flash of lightning on clouds' darkest tide
Christ gave light to the world -He gave His life
to forgive all our sins, He suffered…died
Exemplifying His loving deeds for
we’re His children, in Him we must unite.
His sacrifice gave Him unrivalled sore
to make His Love reign in this world, not grudge
Hatred inflicts pains of body, mind...heart--
Spoiling one's relationship, soul is smudged.
No sadness follows or unending war
if our contrite heart will swallow its pride
and His Holy Spirit mediates and guide.
Jettison our heart’s hurts through forgiveness
and sail on life’s light flow with happiness.

It’s
                                            now
                                        time when
                                        fiery leaves
                                        fall on the ground,
                                           I remember you my love,
Wish you’re here hanging with me around
On this blissful moment, a fiery love begins
under these deciduous trees hold me close once again,
sun shines in my eyes forever , a love unrivalled to any other
each single leaf touches my skin, eases my tearful longing and pain autumn season stands, all sweet memories of you deep in my heart remain.....
each leaf cascades like bright shooting star on endless days and nights
you’re touching my heart as each swirls gracefully in sight
here they are, I catch them one by one as they gently fall
like the time you catch me too, I felt so great ,
                                      thrilling ...so amazing and wonderful
I bask in this autumn delight alone
colors shed my tears, wipe them all
                                     in assurance that
                                         one day
                                         you’ll be

Little Hellebore

Through the driving snow I trudged,
Now crumping 'neath my feet.
Numb fingers, despite gloves,
Head bowed to the sleet.

Stinging cheeks, and frozen nose
Chilled now to the core,
To my surprise, I saw a flower,
A little Hellebore.

A pretty bloom of dusky pink
Peeped up from the snow,
I thought what a dainty flower,
To pick such a time to grow.

It bore no warming layers,
Far hardier than I,
A life force unrivalled,
As snow fell from the sky.

Premium Member Each Star has a Pattern of its Own

“Just like each star is unique yet makes the universe what it is, the light in you makes you who you are.” Mary Gormandy White
**************************************************************

Each Star Has a Pattern of its Own

Gazing at stars on a clean summer night
Some shining silver bright in a blue sky
Hundreds of light years afar, some dim bright,
Others red, is a relish to the eyes
That transcends the heart beyond any bound
And raises the spirit above the ground.

Gazing at the complexity of stars
Baffles the breast of the best human brains
So unique a pattern each star spreads far
Such singular contours each weaves with pain
Like a little shining child of the night
With fads and fancies to charm viewers` sight.

A matchless creation of the divine,
Like each man with special traits and features
Each star has a matchless distinctive shine
That makes it an unrivalled creature
For every star to frame its preference
For every star to mark its difference.

Though of varying textures and patterns
Each star has its place in the universe,
To brighten the divine face of heaven
To inspire the poet his sublime verse
And arouse the crest of lover`s delight
With the particular shine of their light.

Premium Member Auburn Tantalizing Hair

Flowing locks of long auburn hair
gently caressed
tussled and strewn
by the morning air
Textured as the finest flax
With a glossy sheen
the smell of summer fruits
so fresh and clean
Gracing the elegant porcelain smooth neck and shoulders
of a beautiful brown eyed girl
with the cream of luxurious hair
and smouldering stare
Unrivalled beauty beyond compare
See the highlights dance and shine
in the radiant summer sun
Gypsy girl dances in lush wood
As wild as the winding river that runs.

The Reign of Poseidon

His beginning was his end, being swallowed by Cronus
Fortuitously his fortune averted when through Zeus he was saved

With his trusted trident his magnificence reigned
Amphritite at his side, after Delphinius convinced the nymph majesty

God of the ocean, second to none, his wrath was his ultimate fury
Recall the flood to Attic Plain, hark the drownings and shipwrecks!

His magnificence unrivalled, albeit to Athena’s olive tree
His rumoured son, none other than the legendary ruler Theseus

He had his way with Medusa, Caeneus and the mortal Tyro
Subtle yet truly defined, his earthquakes lie testament

Fear the wrath of Neptune, the God of the ocean

Senses

She pervades and unveils all that I have kept hidden for so long
I do not know her but I hear her voice in and around my mind
It is weightless and I know she wills it in sound with ease
She is harmony, a beauty I would be so favoured to find

The friendly nudge at my side when I need it most
I do not know her but I feel her on my skin magically without touch
She engenders love innocently in all she does
It is a glow around her that is infectious and unrivalled by much

Her soul is saved for me and her gaze meets mine softly as does the sun at dusk
I do not know her but I see her eyes piercing mine
Without force nor resistance there is a wild and untainted kinship forged
She is a reflection that light overrides darkness, a sign

Her essence is the burst of aromas that fill the air around me
I do not know her but I taste the very air she breathes so tangibly
It is crisp and light without a hint or trace of impurity
A fresh tonic to heal, to restore and to strengthen vigorously

As if I wonder and follow her, unaware yet willingly
I do not know her but I smell her presence in rooms she has visited
A remnant I could not mistake for any other if I tried
There is something to be said for peace so beautiful and unlimited

Have you ever tasted the air in such a way as to be swept away by it?
I dare to say I have and yet quietly here I sit
How strange are these things that unequivocally bind me to her?
I dare not think on it, for rationality will not explain what is and what will occur
In spite of total darkness between our paths and the questions I have
I sense I will know her because once paths cross, we will reach out half and half

The Birch

The Birch

We’re hailed by changes of weather always
Pouring, wind, rain, gale and hurricane
Our dried barks and twigs easily departs
When they lavishly attack in season
Enchanting imbibe of full moon lights
We play with millions twinkling stars
Cloud travels vigilantly surrounding us
Flurry movement with smiling joyous
Various birds and sparrows nettles
In whole branches swinging whirling
Evening and morning chirping of them
Provides sweetened sleeping time gorgeous
Shelter we provide in all season to all
We don’t mind men, animal or phantom
Various insects joyfully abode us
Historical event many times with pride
Have written in our provision but
When started our birth in which reason
Far back to exact immemorial time
Turns upheavals appeared and vanished
Our races remained pervading always
Calamities various we have noticed
Dreadful volcanoes earth quakes floods
Devastation of habitation many times
We’ve seen horror of war stopping breath
Slowly but surely in the lapse of time
We came to contact with wise human beings
They knew the uses of our multiples
Fostering lives to driving enemies all
Houses to live making door windows
Ceiling, pillars, furniture other more
Decorative enchantment in festivals too
To cross the rivers with beautiful canoe plus
Fodders to animals to shoot for vegetables
Our fruits they contrived ordinary goods
Kinds and genres of our different
Familiar family Birch Betula Pendula
Mountain to plain everywhere our dwellings
Dwarf taller biggest eldest our findings
Greenish yellowish leafage luscious
Silvery skin beautiful to see and touch
Lovingly people composes writings on
Symmetry with wind when we blowing
Breeze pours joys producing sweet sound
Rustle hustle colliding leaves with twigs
Fountain signals us enamouring love present
Running gently humming with murmuring flush
Poet’s heart delights cheering the Birch
Gorgeous, vibrant unrivalled focus
History stands describing more about
Adding, idioms, phrases and anecdotes core
So old we’re in history self also
‘Veda’ describes us memorable Birch.

The Way I Am

A casualty of a personality similarity, apparently,
though it's not apparent to me,
maybe in a parallel reality with unparalleled insanity.

My motto is true individuality breeds pure originality,
I hate monos I do but inconsistency prevents rhyme simplicity.

However, I endeavour to be quite clever,
and mix this rhyme with a talent that only said hello
and let itself be known when I sat all on my own
and met my lowest low and felt all was an unknown.

After I boycotted social events
and my siblings kept a distance
through a transition to clearance
and all was different but for my parents.

When I could of drank and walked around violent
or gone back to cannabis as a daily requirement,
but I vented in silence and sat and wrote a sentence
to then rhyme it in an instant and express a cruel incident,
all done with rational thought and I felt happy with the result.

I found a talent up my sleeve
better than what I ever believed,
assured by my second poem called "Believe",
13 months on there are 400 more to read.

I've covered a whole range of topics,
writes of stupid silly to writes of serious logic,
but lyrical writes enabled
a plastic Eminem wannabe label
as though I'm unable to be a creative individual,
and so slated for not being an original.

It seems that Trim Shady alias will stay with us
and I'll seem ridiculous but the influence
that became the fake appearance will see a disappearance,
I'm Nicholas or Trim I don't initial my title
I'm not trying to be like Marshall whom is unrivalled.

I'll do it my own way with individuality,
knowing that alter ego is the only reason you see a similarity,
but I'll make you see I'm a singularity,
a personality out to become a familiarity.

Though I've balanced my talents over a vast distance using
rhyme to reference these events it makes no difference to opinions,
yet I stay driven because I was influenced by Winston and his words to the wars winning.

Let's be clear Churchill caught my ear like Slim and I listened in awe to him when he said "Never Give In",
so if the world goes silent I'll start to sing,
if you attack me I'll whack you,
if you distract me I'll trap you,
if you perceive me as fake
I'll make you retract that statement with haste.

I'm evolution at play,
changing and adapting,
but I'll always do it my way.
