Packed Mind

Loaded mind
with caotic thoughts
there is no 'satis'
like an overloaded bus
packed
like a little nest
crowded with birds
big birds
noisy
uninterested sound
uncomforting zone
windy
cold
heat-hot like a burning gold
no rest
unfree
tranquility's absence
quest for peace
lack of bliss
like disturbed bees
up and down
hopeless time
internal crime.

Premium Member An Appendectomy

At the very young age of eleven,
could I be on my way to heaven?
It was early in the month of September.
There was a day I would always remember.
I had a bad headache for a third day.
I took aspirin, but it would not go away.
Suddenly, there was a sharp pain in my right side.
I also felt nauseated, so I stayed inside.
I waited until night for my parents to come home.
To the doctor’s office I would soon have to roam.
Yes, suddenly I felt myself quite ill.
The doctor said I should get to a hospital.
Along with the pain, there was a burgeoning gloom
as I was taken into the emergency room.
At once, I required surgery
as what was needed was an appendectomy.
An uncomforting thought crossed my mind as I lay:
Am I going to die? Will this be my last day?

Awaiting Unknown

Her longing is one that is hard to bear.
She thinks of him dearly –
And the memories they share…

Talking, thinking of one another,
Is it enough to suffice –
Her endless need for compassion?

He gazes at the winding path of time,
Thinking of his fair maiden.
Does she recall
Those precious times?

Walking on the moonlit beach,
Barefoot on the sandy shore,
He longs to see her.
In other than his heart.

A misty chill sweeps through the night,
Will he miss her when she’s is gone?
A thought to make her shudder –
Why think of something so uncomforting?
Can’t he be right here?
Can’t his arms be around her in a loving embrace?

Her dear lover –
Will he return?
His loving companion;
Will she come back?

Will they survive with only memory?
With fragments of time that will eventually be lost?
Or will they cross a sea of hardship –
To the blissful sanctuary created by love and imagination?
We cannot tell.
It is not for us to tell.

Let them decide their own destiny.

My Blindness

The tall grass swishing
My feet recoils
From a glistening light
Simulated
On the unscaled eye

I know its beautiful
But I am afraid
Not because of it
But because its gone
And I cannot trust
My blindness.

Something in me
Wants to be sure
Ever since
It slithered past
Its uncomforting
To be without location
In a swathe of time.

I will
       not go
     further
              into this
                          grass
             until I
                      can see
              why the grass is
                         so still
                                           suddenly.

Love

I was confused what love would be..
and it startled me at first;
All thoughts were first a hesitation-
then my body craved sensation-
My mind left its world in complete
desolation..
and my heart would find it's realization.

I was sure of what love would be..
and it scared me at first;
All my time was spent with only-
Afraid to end and be too lonely-
Thinking each time he's the greatest
thing I can speak to so openly.

I was a fool what love would be..
and I hated it at first;
All the time I spent much thinking-
All this Time I spent much sinking-
draining out a rejection now-
uncomforting to know that love
can turn to hate so very quickly.

I was a misdirected to what love would be..
and I really didn't understand it.
And at such a time- I cussed and groaned
So did he- complained and moaned.
At first we were great- I thought we were till
it turned to a cold, icy stone.

Needle

The needle scratches against the record
Almost like a tormented screech
The parents whisper that I have nothing left to learn
So, I guess I'll begin to teach
Although this isn't the life I wanted
It is the only one I could reach

The needle scratches the skin
Which makes a popping noise
The friends scream for me to listen
So, I guess I have no choice
I perk up my ears waiting for their voice
to pretend like I care and maybe rejoice

The pine needle falls from the tree
Without a single sound
I run with my dangerous ways
hearing my feet pound
I know what they all want to hear - that I'm happy-
I guess that's why they're always around

The record may screech
It never stops to a direct hault
As the skins gives way
the needle rests in the vein's vault
Your friend's fingers try to stop it
But their touch might as well be salt

I am a simple pine needle fallen from it's tree
It's soothing to know that I am content
but these uncomforting thoughts won't let me be
I am not upset and I am not angry
I am not hurt and I am not unhappy
I just would like a few people
to able to see what I see

Choose

Eyes turned black from deceit
While window shards lay scattered at my feet
Which choice to choose
My conscience is beginning to lose
Saying to me don't make the same mistake
It takes more than this to make you break

Emptied spirits
dry to the bone
So uncomforting
has become this feeling of being alone

Professing the darkest deed
The hunger, the want, the Need.
I've taken so much, gave so little
Stood strong until I grew brittle
Weak and becoming nothing but waste
Secrets that are only bland in taste

Filtered through pungency and greed
We give so little, so that we begin to feed
on the nearest soul
Only to gain little or no control

Bold faced deceit
and broken glass lays before my feet
to take or pass away
I'll leave that choice for another day
To give in to the want and the need
And watch myself bleed
