My Blindness
The tall grass swishing
My feet recoils
From a glistening light
Simulated
On the unscaled eye
I know its beautiful
But I am afraid
Not because of it
But because its gone
And I cannot trust
My blindness.
Something in me
Wants to be sure
Ever since
It slithered past
Its uncomforting
To be without location
In a swathe of time.
I will
not go
further
into this
grass
until I
can see
why the grass is
so still
suddenly.
