My Blindness

The tall grass swishing
My feet recoils
From a glistening light
Simulated
On the unscaled eye

I know its beautiful
But I am afraid
Not because of it
But because its gone
And I cannot trust
My blindness.

Something in me
Wants to be sure
Ever since
It slithered past
Its uncomforting
To be without location
In a swathe of time.

I will
       not go
     further
              into this
                          grass
             until I
                      can see
              why the grass is
                         so still
                                           suddenly.

I know this poem. it would be unwise to go forward until one knows their reasoning and purposful meaning. once one moves past the veil of illusion and earth...there is no going back. love, Kristin
