Creatures chirrup, chirp and tweet
Or warble in their way,
All so that in case they meet,
They’ll know just what to say.
It’s kind of like a human text
Or email or a call,
Preparing what to talk of next
If they connect at all.
Or maybe all this reaching out
Is just to hear expressed
The sounds that show what we’re about
To set our minds at rest.

walking down the street
I heard hundreds of tweets
So harmonious coming from that tree
As if birds were singing just for me
Now I talk to them everyday
Telling them the happening
And Listening to what they say
Then, one day when I was away
Men came by to take
little birdies home out of the way
All the little birdies pleaded
But their heart never bleeded
Recklessly they cut the tree
killing hundreds of birdies
Now no more tweets in atmos left
Just Silence came and never left

Twinkle, twinkle little tweets
In the trees, not treading streets
Just one chirp, from each true bird
Each dawning day, thus feathers stirred
Twinkle, twinkle little tweets
Faithfully, the morning greets
Twinkle, twinkle, under sky
From loft branch, trills flutter-fly
Bright heralds do bring choice cheer
Expectation to my ear
Twinkle, twinkle, under sky
As sun dips, birds chirrup bye

I, too, dislike poems.
I’ve tried runes (and rampikes)
but that’s affected
rather than merely effete.
So I call them
figments.
When people query
What do you write?
at a barbecue or birthday party
I say soliloquies,
fractals,
fragments.
Self-similarities,
singularities,
sculptures (scriptures), geometric shapes and series,
three dimensional triangles, spheres
and differential equations,
fractured fairy tales,
Rocky and Bullwinkle,
rectal impactions.
On the other hand,
bits, bots, bytes
remnants, scrap, earth
gobs of phlegm in grains of sand,
shards of glass in a slice of hell,
hunks and clumps, curds and whey, sleet and pain, slap in the face
sub-atomic particles, cell organelles,
chunks of energy, cookie crumbs,
rusty trucks stuck in mud, dustings for ghosts,
just plain dumb luck, rocks, concrete, but not tweets.

When I posted two limerick tweets,
the responses were really quite sweet.
It seemed pretty hollow,
but got me a follow,
plus, the pair that they shared? Not their feet

in the corners of my mind
dusty piles of letters
and words
I’m trying to sweep
into a manageable
meaningful
mass
*
raindrops
like inked letters
falling through mind
onto page
*
SUNLIGHT
primary cause of melanomas
activating limbs
while evaporating words
before they touch the page
a double curse
really

my ears trembled
striving to understand
so I could capture the tweets and peeps
but there has been no alphabet that can
for the faerie creatures who fly from the trees
have no mouths, so do not form the same sounds
to capture the noises we hear can be done on tape
but to place them on paper? An impossibility
unless we form a new alphabet
and what bird watcher is ready to spend
that kind of time?
Okay.
Put your hand down.

Love and kisses to my dear
Sit and whisper in your ear
Hear my love tweets
As my heart beats
A mile a minute
Because you’re in it

Donald Trump just loves to tell "jokes"
Like, "COVID-19 is an hoax!"
When somebody dies
He tweets, "Its all lies!"
Trump ought to sign off, "That's All, Folks!"

Said the sparrow to the robin
"Here they come again"
"Yes, they're bringing food"
Chirped up the tiny wren.
"Do they think we're starving?"
Asked a noisy thrush,
"I am, so be quiet"
Said the bluebird from a bush.
"Are they bringing peanuts"
Said the starling to the jay,
Who greedily was hoping
That some would come his way.
The owl, he was watching
But he was not impressed,
By the time that he was hungry
They'd be sleeping in their nests.
So they all just watched
As the humans brought the treats,
Who never understood...
All they heard were tweets.

We Did Not Take Action to Start a War
it is a sad day
in the world of ours
the the leader
of the U.S.
is turning into a gangster leader
threatening massive destruction
on Iran and other countries
including destroying cultural sites
not too long ago
such actions was condemned
by the United States
as long as ISIS and others did it
but if Trump does it
it is suddenly okay
although it is a war crime
and telegraphing our moves
telling our enemies
what we are planing
that is the act
of a truly stable genius
who will go down
in history
as one of the greatest presidents
we have ever
and the president
announcing that
that he took action
to start a war
but to stop a war
is a wonder to behold
every word is false
and everyone knows it
well we are now
going down the Orwellian rabbit hole
and who know where it will end
as our dear leader
screws forth
one lie after another
and our spineless leaders
applaud
as American democracy dies
a thousand deaths
with every Presidential tweet

Trump's Tweets
By Franklin Price
7/2/2017
Trump's tweets are often taxing
They're a boggle to the mind
Hardly ever diplomatic
Often stupid you will find
Very seldom presidential
Although POTUS is his name
He uses tweets so foolishly
That's how he plays the game
The Media and Liberals
Jump to degradate the man
For tweets that are quite useless
With small effect upon the plan
Nothing will get better
'Til the tweets are put aside
And the parties work together
To end this roller coaster ride
