A prospering weed

I kept quiet far too long.
I couldn't open my mouth,
it seemed, not even for a peep.

The perfect doormat.
Welcome to one and all.
Come wipe your feet.

Tolerance is that ugly sin
a coward learns to live with
while incessant cycles repeat.

Nothing changes when nothing's said,
silence being the prime enabler.
And like a weed, shame grows
in the shadow of acceptance.

A Version of Me

There is no strength in fear and flame,
naught but the bitterness of blame,
which leads us all to guilt and shame,
finger pointing and naming names.

Better still our hearts to open,
forgive and live with hope and
honest emotion,
a chain of grace unbroken,
positive words to be spoken,
and put our heart into motion.

A Pre-Valentine’s Frenzy Of Chocolates, Hearts And Flowers

Chocolates, hearts and flowers are ubiquitous in the markets or stores
It is like a frenzy storm, like heavy raindrops rushing through the gutters
I am told at the big mall, it’s like Christmas Eve, where procrastinators
Are buying boxes of chocolate, flowers, candies of all kinds and colors
Candles, jewelries, intimate pajamas, and sexy accessories for loved ones
Wow!

we should not be worry about problems
they make us stronger and more powerful
do not be sad, do not worry be quite happy
good natured tolerance of delay is cool
anyway, things should have their times

The Moth

What is mist in my demeanour,
makes me fray when I am touched,
the thread is just a little leaner,
when the rug is pulled too much.

Adjust the light, 
reduce the glare,
the eyes will compensate the glow
with just the right influx of air,
the breath will gently ease its flow.

Call from the candle,
the patterned handle,
generates the heat of light,

In the Painter's Canvas

In the heart of the art, love steps in breathing slowly.
The blue, the brown and the green 
stripped of all modesty submits to red.
A leg here, an arm there, confusion cliched.
The painter tries to shape form in his brush
But the canvas holds sounds long silenced.
Sweat and pain paint a picture of tolerance
And anguish sucks in

Honesty and Hypocrisy

Honesty's the best policy.*
Tolerance is hypocrisy.
Does the peace of mind lie in this:
"To be in good terms with the friends
And tolerate the enemies"?†
Oh, no! It's but mere phoniness.
The lice of a frank, fatal foe
Are far nobler than a fake friend.
