Ode to the Ocean
Ode to the Ocean
All-encompassing, a vast blue might,
Billions of droplets, reflecting light.
Coral castles, where sea creatures roam,
Deepest trenches, a mysterious home.
Ever-moving, with rhythmic sway,
Fresh ocean breezes, greet each new day.
Glistening surface, a mirror so clear,
Haunting echoes, for all who draw near.
Immense and ancient, full of lore,
Joyful dolphins, leap from the shore.
Kelping forests, where life can

Right By The Ocean
Written By: D. Collins 7/18/25
Amidst this chaos I'm at a loss for words.
I need to go to the water and regroup my verbs.
Hear the sound of waves splashing in my ear.
And an Atlantic breeze blowing through my hair.
Yeah 'Mon....'Dat right 'Dere is exactly what I need.
A long stroll by the water just to help

The ocean
The ocean
I always had a fear of the ocean you know?
Those deep dark tides pulling you in
The darkness lurking beneath the horizon
But oh how beautiful it is
Pulling me closer and closer
Until my feet feel the shore going back home then coming back to me for a short moment before leaving again
I hated

My Friend Is the Ocean
My friend is the ocean, waters that glide,
Rustling my footsteps and tousling my hair;
Many the times that we walked side by side,
A spark and forever, joined as a pair.
Always a cloud there lay over its play,
Dappled the sunlight that fell on my face;
Heaving, its waters had something to say;
Twilight with meteors it took for the

The Ocean May - Rondelet
The ocean may
be the drop behind her white noise
The ocean may
move Ariel's heartthrobs away,
as breaking waves chance with her voice —
to work down tears in salty poise,
The ocean may

Under the Ocean
Swimming under the surface of the Pacific
Past the border of the ocean
Where the two meet, brown and blue.
Met by tiny swimming jewels here,
Living within the tall crystals,
The ecosystem of crystals
Covering the ocean floor.
Dazzles of Ruby-red, glinting almost,
Heaps of Saphire-cyan, soothing the eyes,
Just a sprinkle of Emerald-green, as if waiting to be seen,
Infestations of Citrine-yellow, seen

Climbed Kilimanjaro and Everest
Crossed the ocean in a raft, I did
So, which thrill was the best…

What is that Giant Head in the Ocean
Was that a giant head bobbing out of the ocean?
The sightseers got out their binoculars
Something massive, a monster
Looked like a giant head
Captain of the cruise ship had seen this before
It is an ocean sunfish, they weigh four thousand pounds
They do look like giant heads
Their main food source is jellyfish
I felt relieved
I thought the head of

SECRETS OF THE OCEAN
As the tide retreats,
the shore unveils a tapestry
of deep garnet and crushed ruby sand,
spread before a mosaic of polished rocks.
Towering above,
the jagged cliffs rise steeply,
their weathered faces carved
by relentless waves.
Ancient glyphs emerge,
whispering timeless secrets
to the ever-listening ocean below.

The Ocean And The Sky
All the moments that have led to now
play out—
projected onto the insides of my eyelids,
a film I’ve watched a thousand times.
And still,
it shakes me to my core.
Visions of the ineffable,
with impossible implications.
I wander through a twisted maze—
of lies and revelations,
bitter clarity, manic fantasies—
pulled in every direction
by truths that don’t belong
in any single reality.
?
Into paradoxical dreams,
I

My heart is a vessel filled with the ocean of endless love for you
My heart is a vessel filled with the ocean of endless love for you,
but when your screams shatter the silence like relentless storms,
when your hand rises like a cold shadow on my skin,
and your words strike like lightning across my furrowed brow,
I sink into the scorching memories of past traumas,
red nightmares like blood, nails of
