hails grain crops at the ready

in harvest celebration
gratitude is genuine

Beef Wellington

trust your gut, to know
it growls for truth, loud and strong
it's n'er found wanting,
or that's how the saying goes -
but skip fungal feasts of mold

great for jams and pies ~
grandma made juneberry jam

Nice Evening

had nice daily walk,
after sunset prayers and food
time for new poems
then gazing at the neat sky,

Blue Cheese and Old Pickles

     I do love blue cheese,
     It's tasty and delicious,

red cardinal eats
suet with his white beak....
in late December
greasy white on his feathers 
even in misting cold rain

harvest in his beak
muted excepted for its blush
poised on white pumpkin
winterberry holly fruit
a treat for the midnight crow

Always hot plates.
Always refilling clean slates.
Always lots of food.

Sundaes On A Sunday

Gooey, gooey treats
Filled with strawberry puree,
All laid out upon
Bowls of vanilla ice cream,
Topped with sundae cherries.

skies are solid gray
ready to weep day away....
uplifting thoughts rise
yellow pollen floats on rain
one pear tree's white blooms revive

Milk Flows

took them to the breast
fed them with love…tenderness
joy in triplicate
they won’t remember kindness
so private and personal

with kids of their own
milk flows to their very bones
bare

Vanilla chai tea
Its wamth caresses my tongue
Mixed with almond milk 
Sweetness with a nutty taste
