Desert a blazed atomic fire;
Summer hot breath balmy pungent;
Searing aromatic spiced boils;

Summery canicular toasty;
Seething is fervent fiery;

I am walking down the street in the sweltering heat, water is dripping from my face and perspiration is oozing out of my skin and flooding the dry places, the reservoir has run dry and there is no sign of rain clouds in the pregnant skies, the fires are running wild and the furnest is

Meltering Sweltering

Meltering sweltering is just up ahead
Sweat soaking sheets of our double bed
Underarms are odorous
Some parts are dangerous
Don't light a match it might kill you dead

Sweltering Hot

The temperature soars;
it's so sweltering hot
relief is sorely sought;
for sweat doesn't drip; it pours,
under a sun-baked sky,
in the heat Summer wrought.

The beach is bittersweet,
where water versus sand;
and the sun burns the tanned
wading in their bare feet;
trying to beat the heat,
for swimming has been banned.

August in the city
is bereft of pity.

Real Happiness

REAL HAPPINESS

Amazed to see  ill-clad kids playing in sweltering heat
Raised by carefree , breezy  nature, jovial atmosphere altogether 
Played with zeal , indifferent of caste and creed
Unfazed  by the prickly, sultry  weather.


Enthralled by the boisterous energy ,echoing in towers
Swayed by the squad and drenched in  
unusual liveliness
Realised, joy lies within

Grilling, camping, hiking
Picnics, vacations, holidays, traditions
Sleighing, shivering, celebrating
Gentle, fresh
Winter

An Unfortunate, Sweltering Demotion

the land of make believe sounds awfully good right now
i think i will become a cocoon within a cocoon somehow

the water will fill my lungs and i will wave somber goodbye 
i will drown knowing that i gave it a real good try

now the dark clouds overtake me and saps me of my strength

darkly, sensual appeal,--a 
sexuality about it that draws 
the wildlife out.

It is a world of darkness,
a place and time 
of shadow and mystery
when strangers fornicate.

During the night, the stars come out; 
the moon-glow is bright;
and eager libidos are on the prowl.
While all around, the nocturnal

on a sweltering day, I watch the sky
as it tries to eke out tears. . . . 
but it simp ly   can    not

drenched in sweat, too stifled even to stir,
I see grey clouds gathering -
then suddenly explode!

Hot, sweet, sweltering July
When all you can hear are distant hummings
Of inside fans and flies incessant drumming
Fans rattling inside, flies outside amongst the grasses.
Time seems to stand so very still.

Just the act of breathing
Leaves some beaded sweated tears
Some tiny drops of condensation
Along the hollows of your breasts
And the hollows of your mind's years.
