An Unfortunate, Sweltering Demotion

the land of make believe sounds awfully good right now
i think i will become a cocoon within a cocoon somehow

the water will fill my lungs and i will wave somber goodbye
i will drown knowing that i gave it a real good try

now the dark clouds overtake me and saps me of my strength
the demon leeches suck the blood of my body's whole at every width and length

i consider myself a martyr for the foundation and the root of our love
though in natural reality i am but a speck of dirt in the palm of the devil's glove
