Sweep Away Poems | Examples

A wish

Far down below it's taking
Taking away the tandroms of guilt
Pain and cries.
I have felt, seen and heard
The rocks , flowers trees big
But here, it's a tomb of joy which sweeps
Sweeping away the ridges we have built from fear
From great theft of injustice
From cries and depression
Weakness and failures
We have come to leave the ill fate
The shock of being unwanted
As the winds sway pass,
Let your, my weigh down drums
Castles and rain of pain sweep away.

Premium MemberBraving the Wild Waves

“Life is like a ship tossed on the wide sea
to journey amidst sunshine and wild waves”.- by author.

                                         Braving the Wild Waves

When wild winter winds bend down mighty trees
And drive many souls to knell on their knees
When flash floods sweep away all on their way
And make many men their pitiless prey,

When stormy gales hurl one`s ship on the reefs
And the crew is immersed in seas of grief
When ahead lies the mouth of a steep cliff
That sounds like the resting place of a grave
Do we yield to scare or brave the wild waves?

Just Let Me Stay Here

Stars in the sky
Are always to high
For me to reach

Waves on a beach
Wash away my doubt
Lets my confidence sprout

Rivers sweep away anxiety
They give you a break from society
The churning water a secret lullaby

Waterfalls as they cry
Usher your not alone
That your not on your own

Colours that bleed from a a sunset sky
As the sun bids goodbye
Melt away my fear

Oh please just let me stay here
Here I can smile
Forget about my worries for a while

Premium MemberA Birthing Frost

When finally those quickened hours come
that crept unseen behind tomorrow's door,
and waves of yesterdays upon me pour ~
few secrets left of just what might become.

In frost, the rush to harvest summer's yield,
when all of youth would break the vines of spring,
it seems an instant ~ now at last they cling,
impatient souls await in vineyard fields.

In warmth the sun of dawning will arise,
then weep upon your cheeks contented tears
and I will reach and sweep away your fears
when last I see the beauty of your eyes...

Let the Cowboys be, in pastures new!

Cowboys
Let the cowboys be…
Let them tend to causes....genuine and real
To bequeath…an opportunity to be authentic.
To bequeath…a shot at redemption
To weed the errant and replant in ravines, chasms
In pastures new…
….the errant cowboys,
…..burdensome, irksome, oppressive…too much
….for sale, with privileges too plentiful
…..the ones acting out.. avaricious mode aplenty
……one too many errors
……. lives not to be trampled upon
………let the cowboys be, in bountiful pastures new!
Perhaps some coffee beans to sweep away the pain
The angst caused by servings of callous, and cruelties untold

All About Freedom And Fate

There is happiness called life freedom
Not fighting, competing and selfishness
No plans, everything goes as planned
Easy life, live independently, peacefully.

However, sweep away the sorrow
Ignore the python, worry and plotting
Maintain balance, to keep your body and mind clean
It's all about time, everything depend on fate.

Discover Your Void

No more prayers.
No more loser layers of faith.
Sweep away thoughts of here, after.
Now know it's just me.
Maybe you, too.
Seek a way. Weigh what, a future?
Gospel folly pick your crutch.
Deluded religious mumbos join jumbos,
Scamper to seduce other fools:
"Embrace me",
"Embrace me".
"Save me from myself!"
Fair no longer counts,
No standard measures life.
I am all there is...but not alone.
Welcome, share my finite infinity.
Come, let us gaze upon a Sonless world.
A place devoid of sanctimonious codes.
Enrich us now as we author odes
Harking back to stone clashing stone.
Hail blessed atom!
Arise High Igneous!
Who are you petitioning?
Limitless ooze lurking, expanding,
Walking out of itself.
No wonder, no poetry, poet-less.
I seek fulfillment for my...
Bone deep yearning...
Who does Gravity believe?
Why do Orbits behave?
Where does breeze begin?

Premium MemberClouds roll in

sweep away the clutter
let the tide recede
wash away the grime
bare my soul, my mind
cleanse and start anew

let the winds reset
what's unwittingly askew
bird songs will return
with each rising sun

we must not despair
even when things seem
at an all time low and
never never must we think
of giving up on hope

I've Gone Before Judge's Since Age Nine

they sat up there
high and clean,
robes that reeked of power
and I stood down below,
a kid,
hands in pockets
or chained behind my back.

since nine, it was always the same—
the faces changed,
but the eyes,
they stayed cold as stone.

I learned young
not to look for mercy,
not to plead,
just nod
and listen to them talk about me
like I wasn’t there,
like I was dirt,
a problem they had to sweep away.

smoke breaks behind the courthouse,
I watched men in suits laugh,
their cigars thick in the air.
they didn’t see me,
or maybe they did
and didn’t care.

since nine, I never knew the rules,
but the rules don’t know me.
I walk in and out,
just waiting for the time
I won’t walk out at all.

Premium MemberCatch Up

The scrabble app says it misses me
It sends a notification to remind me
It's lonesome without me.

Let Poirot use his little gray cells,
Let Miss Marple knit too much,
Let me just catch up.

Dust the unused corners,
Sweep away the cobwebs,
Throw out the crumbs

Of procrastination.

Poirot and Miss Marple are characters in Agatha Christie novels

Premium MemberGeisha Grin

Green geisha grins
Charming the gentlemen
Eyes like chocolate pools
Drown in their sweetness
Their sweetness uniqueness
Able to sweep away grief
Smiling and styling
Dance romanced by
Graceful hands following
The glance of envy
Avoiding sin of selfish men
Entertaining in elegance
Geisha wrist gives a twist
Pouring hot tea delicately
With a sip from lotus lip
Chatter flatters intelligently
You will always wish
For a confetti kiss
Celebrated but not cheap
Not free.

Premium MemberGolden Shovels

Each of them had one
A golden shovel
To sweep away the detritus
Of life’s lingering keepsakes
Scratching the gold-plated spears
Dodging deaths deadline
Struggling to be remembered

Ecologically egotistical entrepreneurs
Pictures, suitable for framing
Polished, souvenir hard hats
Sign waving sycophants
Applauding the arrogance
Of progressive platitudes.

An old woman weeps
The shadow of her home gone
The echoes of her life fading
A Teddy bear lays crushed
Beneath an unseen future.

Premium MemberThe Waters Way

From glacial mountain tops and peaks
Sunlight wakes me from my sleep
No way of telling how long I slept
Or way of knowing what time is left

Gravity takes me where I go
Often times it’s just the flow
Downward till death lets me go
Ever traveling I do not know

Waters they go where the force is leading
The shallows and the deeps competing
The secrets and gold I hide
I feed and carry sources of life

Flooding a place where stops my aim
My being is both loss and gain
And often called god or goddess
Drying unto death stops my progress

I sometimes quench the dying thirst
Or being too much I slowly curse
Dissolving structures when floods take hold
Sweep away foundations the new and old

Feed the flocks that feed a nation
Filling the swamps or leaving hydration
Douse the fires that would destroy
Bathe the unclean that would annoy

Joining the ocean the ultimate goal
No more am I when salt takes hold
From there rebirth gives me meaning
Over and over always repeating

Young Love

Young Love puppy love youth love

Young love, fleeting like snowdrops

Melting snowflakes in the spring

One moment there and the next gone

Made more beautiful in its foolish haste

But also branding perpetual scars.

Some cannot break free from these old chains

Others simply wither away

Yet still there are those

Fighting the dazzling flame with passion undeniable

Carried on the ephemeral wind.

Their feelings sweep away all doubts.
