The Red Eyed Stranger El Alborotado

Written By:
Traducir Al Spaniel'
A.K.A El Alborotado
-----------------------------------
To support all of this emotion
to take everything in stride
to up lift to and to encourage
put all that doubt and envy aside
how can go on saying
when so many want me o fail
hold my head up and keep on stibing
hoping one day I would prevail
Keep me grooving to the music
gone darling do your thang
breakfast was so delicious
Darling you treat me like a King
about yesterday I apologize
but don't keep doing that sorta thing

Your Ole man
started hushing
stopped talking when I came around
he get up when I started sitting
acting like he didn't want me around
his actions both subtle and overt
had an impact on everything
made me feel like ah fifth wheel
put a dark cloud on everything
got mad and started cussin
that's not a nice or respectful thing
got in the way of our performance
putting a damper on everything
now I'm ah red eyed stranger
a tear drop fell in my beer
all that cussin and fussin
is such annoyance
it put's ah damper on everything

Premium Member Hair

As a kid my hair was a very easy fix,
just pull it back with a rubber band into a ponytail.

As a teen a ponytail was not going to work,
off to the hair shop with picture in hand.
I sat in the chair and said,
I want to look like this picture.
I sat dreaming about my great new hair style,
as I looked in their mirror I was horrified.
I did not look like the picture I showed them,
what had happened to my head of hair.

I will fix the professionals,
next hair cut was on me.
That is when I started to cut my hair,
I still laugh when I get asked -
can they have my hairdresser's information.

I have found some great new friends,
hats in all sizes - styles and colors.

Mother Nature Showed Me Many Styles

Yesterday, I walked a thousand miles
Over hill and dale, through the verdant wood
Saw baby ducks walk by in quacking file
Did not stop to rest or maybe I should
Came to the old elm, now looks to be dead
But the bird nest above looks to be new
This old mind searching to get rid of dread
Then I thought I heard a soft voice but who
Searching about but nothing could I find
But Mother Nature and her great wonders
Just enough to appease wondering mind
I next sat down to that odd thought ponder.

Yesterday, I walked a thousand miles.
Mother Nature showed me many styles.

Note- Finding such beauty, and know life is so precious.
I walked back home a bit renewed. A blessing methinks.

“wherefrom came that exalted thought ~
that inspirations with it brought”

Among the several poetry styles
we get to choose from to follow our muse,
what draws us to a cadence that beguiles;
is it intuition or egoic ruse
that for practice compels us to reuse
sacred geometry we had once learnt,
in whose embrace soul's deep emotes were burnt,
transmuted into language symbolic
and so if the format selected weren't,
in which pastures would our words then frolic?

For instance, let's consider this Dizain,
for long unused, stirred within a strong urge
to employ this form, falling like light rain,
whereupon we felt our head and heart merge,
creating music, causing a bliss surge.
Thus it appears we begin with a choice
that's ego driven, then soul lends its voice,
drawing in by magic a joyful beat,
that dances on its own whilst we rejoice,
inking a rhythm that has us all upbeat.

The Letter

After a long tired day
I come home,on my bed,
Listening to him;
Never felt so touched, never felt so swayed
This was not the classic music this time which made me pleased,
The words, the unspoken pauses he took,
I understood this time.
The song said a lot, having deep emotions within,
Felt connected to a human I never met.
The silly little dance of his,
The green-blue eyes, the deep kinda husky voice,
The feminine manhood, the curly brown hair
Lucky are the other girls,
Who met him and Glare.
Not gonna brag but everyone will say they adore him better,
But in my heart, he will always be with this love letter.

I can write about everything she tells me.
Words flow as easily as water.
Great! I say. Let’s spend some time writing.
She stares at my fingers as they move quick and loud.

What are you writing about? She asks me.
I am writing about you, I say.
She doubts me, so I read her some of it.
She sits in silence, staring.

An hour later I have six poems.
She has a blank page.
All of that writing scared me, she says.
I cannot write with all of that racket.

She carries the blank page around for two days.
There is not even a dot on it.
I’ll write when I get home she tells me.
I write all the time, I can hardly stop writing.

I pretend to believe her and wish her well.
We are writers.
Both of us,
But with different techniques.
I am the loud enthusiastic one.
She is the silent invisible one.

A Rhyme on a Free Verse Poet

Her poetry has brevity and also clarity.
I really like her free verse done that way.
Like miniature free verse too are her haiku.
Often so amazing are they!
From “Kisses” to “Wishes” to “One Serene Morning;”
From “New Year” to “Afternoon Fun,”
The poems of this poet from Canada flow. . .
May Line’s work here never be done!

A Limerick for a Humorist

A fun gal from the Isle of Man
writes “naughty” whenever she can.
For her limerick fame
I should like to rename
her small country the Isle of Jan!

Me

I
write in
many forms -
from classic to
newer invented
one like this: etheree.
Preferring rhythm and rhymes,
I don’t write free verse as often.
But I’ll try my hand at anything
at least once! I’d call my style eclectic.

A poetess of simple expression
in free flowing verse
discrete words resonate
with cadence of aria
on a single string of violin
the beginning paces down
to the ending
with no period
as the tune keeps on
echoing for long

her verses are the surge of the mountain stream
the course unpredictable carving the vale of impulse
        cascades down
        with poignant power
the torrents of leaping water unleashed on gush
race breathless over the ebullient rapids
        swirl around within
        mid-stream pools
where in the obscure depth of passion
the pearly beads of emotion lie sunk
        shrouded in enigma
        some feelings remain
        unexpressed

With the broken strands of web
of languid life and torrid times
I try to weave simple tapestry
of imagery in the poetry of heart.
Rising from the dust of trampled path
I fly on the shadow of the falling sky
to the edge of the waiting horizon,
as the twilight gleam sequesters me.

Deep as a well with a great thirst

Never ending love for poetry
Smooth as a babies butt she writes
With style and grace

3rd Style Me
I have no style

upsetting
unforgetting
me being an a**h**e

just asking
lunar probing
mad as you are
is mad as me
crazy
loco

loca in your laugh
laughing in your smiles
smiling that i am a fool
old school romance by chance
writing and citing poems owned
by me but written for you

you are
sick in health
let me help cure you
me
sick in head
welcoming you instead

dead i was
swearing dead
until you filled
me with eyes
and smiles
and laughter

after all
after all that
i forget what upset
me forgetting to upset
nothing now in memory
just you

Heed in your heart true love that binds,
Art is the way that beauty shows;
Pique that fond start what joy now finds,
Plant thus fine say with truth you know;
Yes to wise grace that moves your soul.
See that grand scope of lovely tact,
Trust faith to face each test life holds;
Yield to wise hope that moves each act,
Love wears a style that brings pure peace;
Embrace your gifts as wonder greets,
Sense steadfast smiles that fashion ease.
Ask as you lift the voice you meet,
Prize thus your dream with ample poise,
Thought in clear theme flavours your choice.

~Rondelets~
 (Nonet)

Rondelets are a nice style to try
Let me tell you now that this form
 Is really nice to try
I've done it a few times
 It wasn't bad at all
 And they are fun
 Just write one
 You'll like
 Them.

 ~Rondelets~
 (Acrostic)

Rondelets are a nice poetry form
Only way to know is try one yourself
No other form is quite like this one
Don't tell me I didn't warned you about it
Employ this form and you'll be hooked for life
Lines can go smooth when you're doing this style
Endlessly you want to write just many more
This form quickly can grow on you one day
Style like this I will never stop writing.
