Impromptu

answers
to what
question
upsetting
unforgetting
me being an a**h**e

just asking
lunar probing
mad as you are
is mad as me
crazy
loco

loca in your laugh
laughing in your smiles
smiling that i am a fool
old school romance by chance
writing and citing poems owned
by me but written for you

you are
sick in health
let me help cure you
me
sick in head
welcoming you instead

dead i was
swearing dead
until you filled
me with eyes
and smiles
and laughter

after all
after all that
i forget what upset
me forgetting to upset
nothing now in memory
just you

I like to go back and see where a poet started. This was an intriguing first post, Jeff. I'll have to progress forward and see where your thoughts went as to poetry form. I enjoy the read and like poetry that is unique. Thanks for sharing your thoughts through your poetry. A poet in Texas, Bill

I thought I would start at the beginning. This brought a smile. Very entertaining.

This, as you can read in the below comments is when I met Maureen, and she as been a guiding influence ever since she introduced herself with this poem.

Thank you Richard. I appreciate you taking the time to go back to when my soup was just vegetable stock. And I appreciate the comment. Thanks so much.

A meaty, expressive, fine first offering to the soup my friend. I like the way you write about love, not so traditional myself ;) xomo!

My poems are meat free, I've been vegetarian since 1983. Woe can't believe you went back to my humble beginnings. Thanks for that Maureen.
