These hot summers are
like a hellish furnace
It's no one's fault
but all I can feel
Is mild annoyance
at the hot weather
And a deep desire to hide
and try to stay cool.

Prayer Against Anger
Oh Father God, deliver us from anger
May we stay cool when things get hotter
Oh Lord Jesus, save us who are like Cain
Grant us patience when enraged by others or by kin
Oh Holy Spirit, rescue us from the effects of wrath
Be our cooling water so anger we can have no aftermath
This we ask in our Almighty God. Amen!

*Gideons Prayer Poems Against Life's Problems
When life leaves you lemons
deserved or not
some sunny summer's day
neither fret nor sweat
if citrus is all you've got
to show for your lot
to keep the blues at bay
be creative pull out all stops
keep calm stay cool
either squish or get off the pot
think of a drink
(old fruit)
and you're made in the shade
easy peasy lemon squeezy
simply put... make lemonade
Pick on me. I stay calm
Insult my family. I stay cool
Hit me as hard as you dare.
I stay collected
Anger never does me any good
Never solves a single problem
My face turns crimson-red
and I make things worse instead
So, I've given up fiery outrage
for the countenance of a sage
I'd love to tag along with you
To be right by your side
To do the things you want to do
Whatever you decide
I wouldn't cause you trouble
I wouldn't act the fool
What you'd do I'd double
Because I think you're cool
I wouldn't ask for anything
You'd hardly know I'm there
I'd just want to shadow you
If you've some time to spare
Who you are I'd want to learn
So teach me at your school
I'd purposely repeat your class
Because I think you're cool
A young lady from the Isle of man
Writes limericks fresh from the pan
Queen of poetry Soup
She shares her poop
Watching the s..t hit the fan.
Your Blogs.
Dear Jan, place your Blog in the fire
Sit back and watch it burn.
You might attract one or two snowflakes
But that is of little concern.
Stay calm, stay cool, say nothing
Let them have their say.
For in the end like all snowflakes
They'll gradually just melt away.
A boy sticks his head in the pool
All he wanted was to stay cool
Until he fell in
Water burns his skin
He ends up looking like a fool
Banjo man
I'm a banjo man
In banjo van
Around the town
I play
Picking strings
Singing things
In my banjo way
I play so fast
The strings go twang
Sometimes they even snap
But I just chuckle
As I play
Cause I's a banjo chap
I once was in a dueling fight
I played but I forgot
The strings I played
Began to glow
And the banjo got quite hot
I threw it down
And watched it burn
The devil came to see
I think you're great
Old banjo man
And new one gave to me
Now when I play
The strings stay cool
And people shout and cheer
I sing all day in Freddie bar
And drink a pint of beer
I have travelled
Round the world
I've even got a tan
So come and see anytime
Your friend the banjo man
October is an
effortless month.
We don’t have to bundle
up to keep warm
or
strip naked to stay cool…
Lies are the new truth, but let's stay cool
Dignity and common sense are so old school
Pride month is here, calmness and discretion is key
Respect one another's point of view including LGBT
Twas the night before Christmas
All was quiet in the house
Children in bed except me pulling my hair out.
The Christmas tree is bare
The Christmas decorations have gone alooft.
The turkey is to big for the oven
Over done the cake with booze.
In laws are coming I lie in dread give me strength.
The pretense of being polite for the day is getting to my head.
Dress smart stay ,cool who am I kidding I feel like a fool
Nothing is right the house is in a mess
I NEED A MIRACLE to make my chores a success.
So let's pray my nerves are not going to let me down.
Twas the night before Christmas
So much to do , feel like cinderlla without the glass slipper.
My Prince charming of a husband is dead to the world.
Left me to do everything and boy am I Stressed and not impressed.
last month of winter
sun lingers a tad longer
the nights though stay cool...
nature's pledge a fresh cycle
an upside down world in vogue

If you must suffer at the beach,
There are some ways to ease the pain.
Though some of these seem out of reach,
Just listen and I will explain.
A rental on the waterfront
Will keep your foe within your sight.
There can be no surprises, thus,
When in your view both day and night.
It’s preferable to have a pool
And thus avoid the wretched sand.
An edge that meets infinity
Can help to shift from grim to grand.
You’ll need some private parking spots
In shade and with secluded stairs
To stay cool when you must go out
Avoiding the unwanted glares.
A house with panoramic views
Will be utilized the most.
An A/C that you can abuse,
Avoiding heat down on the coast.
The main thing that you’ll want to bring:
Grandkids packed in everywhere.
They will make that awful beach
Somewhat easier to bear.
This most peculiar man
Who did handstands in the pool
Always in the shallow end
In his speedo, to stay cool?
I've seen him dance in the street alone
This most peculiar man
Or out lying on the public grass
Working on his his tan.
But mostly I saw him by the water
His banana hammock donned.
This most peculiar man
Some of the neighbours, not too fond.
But every warm and sunny day
His feet rose above his hands
Waving about in his speedo again
This most peculiar man.
I miss you, yes you.
Where have you been?
Were you hiding or hibernating?
Your strong will and encouragement I seek,
Those inspired words you speak.
Always true to yourself,
Even if people gave you hell.
You stay cool, calm and collective,
Don’t let cruel gossip be infective.
Where have you been?
Did something happened unforeseen?
You don’t let peoples’ hate broke you down,
You make sure you stand your ground.
I know, their behavior caused sometimes pain,
You try to refrain, not think or react on it,
It makes your sometimes sick.
Don’t worry my ingenuity friend,
The two of us will stay true friends.
You are my soul, and I am your body,
Together we ride our storms till the end.
