Premium MemberA Magical Journey

"Dreamland can be a great place to live." By Poet

I hold three magic rocks, in my hand,
Rolling them over and over and over,
Leaving this reality behind, far behind.
These three rocks are making music like a band,
one is painted with a yellow clover,
if I look closer what will I find?
A magical journey I will take,
before I must awake.
The three magic rocks I found,
were deep underground,
now I am feeling spellbound.
All reality is now gone,
I must wake before dawn.
If I don't,
then I will be on my own.
The magic rock band is playing loud,
under the sky with just one cloud.
The sun is coming up over the foothills,
this night has been filled with thrills.
My dear no more yellow clover tea,
never before bedtime is the magical key.

Garden of Eden

Garden of Eden
Trees with fruits are laden
Birds sing gaily, beasts roam wild.

Sunflower fairy
Chatted merry
Spellbound the dragonfly, like a child.

Premium MemberSpellbound Seas

Raven seas,
spellcast waves,
~ singing hate

Revengeful tides,
strum the seashores
with soft cracklings,
bleeding kohl ice.

Smoked sienna soul ~
a cacophony,
from vintage gold-vaults,
shimmering with sighs,
a saga unheard.

Dark orange skies
Fading into black night,
A crescent moon rise
Glowing ghostly white

Skimming overhead
With trick or treaters below,
I watch them tread
Before up I go ...

Flying over corn crops
Reaching out to touch the stars,
Dodging rooftops ...
And parked cars

Above the tree limbs
Sweeping the last leaves,
As I swoop by, skims
The houses' eaves

Over the picket fences
And wrought iron gates,
The night commences
Where the cemetery waits

It is Halloween ...
In all it's sight and sound,
Beautiful to be seen
And I am spellbound!

Do with me what you will,
I'll obey your demands.
A puppet on a string,
I'm putty in your hands.

An endless mystery,
Each day it's something new.
Your wish is my command,
Just tell me what to do.

An Angel of the night,
A Goddess dressed in red.
The Queen that rules my heart,
I'll kneel and bow my head.

Like a slave at your feet,
I'm here upon your stage.
So come and tie me up,
And put me in your cage.

Premium MemberEngulfed Spellbound

Rainy moments a cup of tea
go together beautifully;
Engulfed in everything carefree,
pour down on me, pour down on me;

Give me just a taste of your sound,
capture me and leave me spellbound;
Catch me as I fall to the ground,
when you’re around, when you’re around.

Premium MemberSpellbound By a Specter

Each night my dreams have become a host
as darkness welcomes a drifting silhouette.
Dancing in candlelight, I see a spectral ghost.

In slumber, I hear him whisper. Is it a threat?
Frightened, I tremble, trying not to provoke.
My gown is now drenched with cold sweat.

From within shadows, the apparition spoke,
"Do not fear me, for I could not do you harm."
Each night, this was the moment when I woke.

But I'm still dreaming and take his offered arm.
We waltz in the glow of starlight until sunrise,
and I am spellbound by his wit and virile charm.

A phantom of mystery, but I can't see his eyes
as he holds me close in the pale light of morn.
His visage intrigues me, cloaked in dark disguise.

I woke to sounding chimes and I could have sworn
there lingered the scent of wood sage he had worn.

Succumbing to the night's allure,
I greet the Goddess of the moon.
And Luna rises, all aglow,
elegant lady of the night.

Dusk blurs the lines of light and dark,
succumbing to the night's allure.
And a sinking scarlet sun slips
slowly over the horizon.

Crimson chars the edge of the Earth;
as shifting shadows swiftly merge.
Succumbing to the night's allure;
an owl announces dusk's approach.

A diamond-studded ebony
descends like a velvet curtain.
And I am instantly spellbound,
succumbing to the night's allure.

Christmas Day in London many years ago
A little girl was looking out of the window at the snow
That was drifting down gently from the sky
She was mesmerised by this scene
Let me tell you why

It was like a picture
Ever-changing as she looked
All appeared magic as in a picture book
The snowflakes fell softly covering the ground
Everything was very still not a single sound

The little girl was spellbound
As the outside had turned white
Snowflakes hanging from the trees
Sparkled like diamonds to delight
This little girl who stood very still

Staring at the snow gathering on her window sill
The girl at the window
Was someone that I know
She told me she would always remember
The beauty of that Christmas when it snowed

Spellbound Christmas

Twas the time of year when all the Reindeer were full of cheer
Prancer and Dancer were dancing and Cupid kissed Comet
Rudolph's nose was charging and Donner was cooking dinner
Blixen was eating Candy Canes fixing and cleaning Santa’s sleigh

While Vixen was sniffing the Elf’s as they were snoozing under Santa’s spell
Mrs. Clause was sowing Santa’s shirt he ripped on his sleigh and didn’t tell
In front of stores around the world were Santa’s helpers ringing a bell
while the children were sleeping and dreaming with one wanting, a barbell

The Grinch was in quarantine for not wearing a Santa mask causing an uproar
Mr. Scrooge was six feet away from Bob Cratchit who needed a piece of coal
all this time Christmas passed was gone, bringing Mr. Scrooge a cheerful song
Twas the night before Christmas and all seemed to be well, they were all under,

I Am Spellbound

I gaze at her for hours; I am spellbound; I am rapt
As she draws me up beside her I am happy to be trapped
There is something mesmerizing, that she radiates to earth
Her circumference daily shrinking; her magnitude, her girth

Kurt had enough of being told to adhere to streamlined expectations

He took revenge on prescriptions’ illiterate figures of speechlessness

Inconsebustible he recosseted the unsetentionable avarocosotamy

Carfumbled the extrocorision intempofandizzled sleptorous fimbra

Concoctivized a streptafoam pinclept sklinted slotomatized cundles

Hailfathomed a muncturous cleapage recoclusterated all deflopture

‘Ayotojeh’ he scrouted ‘ Funaply carbunculates vintorious lampture’

‘Evangelolitic monopolytigizes confliderate whoopsical avaricedom’

Coslapterouly he whiptilustered the lonctaphile illiterascible glout

In nuptohabituous cluspers he hoiled rebellioconformized plisture

Idiosynchrotably contrapeteous unidecliption levantered in troads

In a final twist of meaning and superior recognition of scluptitude

Kurt lived happily as he claimed victory over convention and checks

It happens in a moment sometimes,
That change in your life you procure,
May not happen during your prime
That moment you forever savour.

A flash in your mind as a spell
As if the world was crystal clear.
To no one else can you sell
How a notion like this could appear.

For life is a series of moments,
Some good, some bad, equal measure.
As the bad you must not lament,
Embrace good as your personal treasure.

These spellbinding moments are few
To cherish, remember, embrace,
The ones where your confidence grew
Emblazoned all over your face.

It might be that life changing career
Some will say it was just down to fate!
Whatever the thought that did steer
Matters not, you did not hesitate.

	•	influenced by the line ‘it happens in a moment sometimes’ in the film Spellbound staring Gregory Peck.
