Spectate Poems | Examples

Between the Seasons

White May Blossoms
quake their blushing bells.

Agnostic winds roam,
whisking through,
a chill and pensive sky.

Spring may well appear,
yet today once more,
winter has resurrected itself,
with a sly cold wink.

Daffodils spectate,
wait and shiver,
on the sidelines.

Small dogs sniff the nippy shoes,
of brisk walkers,
then hurry onward -
their tell-tale tails
halfway up
and halfway down.

Unspoken Love

Unspoken words on my thoughts
As moon hidden behind the clouds
Unable to spectate wholly
But penetrates as chill out.

One day of silence channeled years of bondage.
Smile of your lips, always I yearned for.
Voice echoes deep waterfall, smells a fresh bloomed flower,
You don’t need make over
You are already a naked beauty.
Not on vulgarity but on true beauteous and gentleness.
So what are you waiting for?
Do what you wanna do!
Go where you wanna go!
Freedom is yours,
Wollstone might’ve forget something
But you are here,
Go , my darling liberate thyself with love and grace.

Premium MemberAnimal

Animals in top hats,
Ride bicycles en road,
Spoked wheels and pedaled spats,
Round about, in ornamental spode.

Animals in monocles,
Spectate in obeisance,
Cuffed by inked chronicle:
Renascence-linked complacence.

Animals in Model Ts,
Toot along en route,
To queue below burlesque marquee,
Bloating bruit by gloat and brute.

Animals in suits,
Sustained by entree manner,
Tasting morsels, cheering lutes;
To labor, bond and banner.

Animals in petticoats,
Puffed in crinoline,
Corsets sweep beneath the bloat,
Ensure the meal’s unseen.

Animals in linen,
Lain in duvets, eider down,
Sunken pelt a skin had been in,
Before its fur had come to town.

Animals in animal,
Adorned disguise of dermis,
Woven threads of blastemal,
Posture vermin with a vermis.

Animals in animals,
Piquant bones to gnaw,
Ascetic starving cannibals,
Feed on creed and law.

Animals in groups,
Extensions of the self,
Lain in egg to cracked coops,
Atop a thrifted shelf.

Instead of rounding out our edges,
To conform our shape to objects,
End the heed, the empty pledges,
Be animal: love and sex.

Two Distant Stars

When the night falls, I walk upon this thin line of memories.
Although, in reality I fell, I dare to try again even if it's not the reality.
Wished to spectate the night sky with you, now you and I have become two distant stars in this black sky of melancholy, I just seemed to have fallen off.
But you're still beautiful as ever.

Of course,I read the manual.
Who hasn't?
Words,nothing but words
Until it happens
And then it is burned, branded and imprinted
Graphically and indelibly
Into your brain.

Sleep brings the nightmare alive
Again and again
You witness it over and over
In all its starkness
There's no escape,no way out

You can't stop the bloody train in time
All you can do is spectate
An unwilling and helpless participant
By the time your eyes pick out
The figure poised on the parapet
Vulture like
You are at the point of no return

Slam on the brakes
Jolt the passengers awake
The body in crucifixion mode
Glances off the cabin glass
Pupils dilated and inward looking
Staring within

You stand frozen
Unable to avert your gaze
And then time stands still
Journey and jobs disrupted
Until the gruesome recovery
Is complete

But that frozen snapshot
Haunts my memory
Flashing up
When least expected
My albatross
Seared into my mind
Spitefully roosting
And beyond oblivion
Torturing my soul
And draining
My will to live.

Premium MemberHe Knows Nothing

Don't preach to me, not now, not ever,
It turns out you don't know what is right.
And if you keep spreading these false little truths,
We'll resolve it, out the back, with a fight.

You see, your morals are misguided, misguided opinions,
Opinions on the net that you've read.
And now that you're desperately needing to be liked,
You're believing all those words you were fed.

What you can't see is you spectate,
You sit on the side, not living a life of your own.
Not creating or achieving or building a life,
You're a virtual seed that's been sown.

So, don't preach to me, from your lack of experience,
Stop decieving, be real like normal folk.
The yanks, they didn't call out the propaganda,
Now their whole country just looks like a joke.

Mr Farage

"Did Farage really skinny dip?"
Well that's an image I'd rather skip!
Instead, I'll marvel at his craftsmanship
And try to write a playful quip…

For, somehow, again, he's in the news
He might as well, he's nothing to lose
So, as some poor sod tries to fill his shoes
He'll remind us of his own virtues

He says he's leaving now to restore his health
After creaming his wage from Europe's wealth
He got his way. He's pleased with himself
And will I miss that smug-faced elf?

No! - Off he goes, and I won't cry
There'll be no teardrops in my eye
No solemn words, no heavy sigh
Just a finger or two for my goodbye

So, away he goes, towards the sunset
He won't go far - on that I'll bet
If you're a fan - don't be upset
I doubt we've seen the last of him yet

I'm not bitter, I've no time for hate
But I won't miss his method of debate
Will he sit and listen? Quietly spectate?
No, but he's sort-of gone... so let's celebrate

So, did Farage really skinny dip?
Again, a mental image we'd do well to skip
Let's marvel, instead, at the statesmanship
Of the modest ex-leader of the mighty UKIP

Premium MemberConformity

it is complete --
protestations of the existentialists notwithstanding --
the end of history.
Science is here.
slammed over me.

and everywhere
the necessity of Standardization.
in my labor
and in my thought
Capitalism dictates.

efficiency is the new God,
except for the God-people themselves of course
who experience choice
and embrace the Absurd
as i spectate.

now, hidden by a lifetime of fantasy
or tortured by enlightenment
either way, bound by survival to succumb:
i release my mind to the Average.
where is Meaning?

Xvii

I always intended to love you
Alone.
In secret, in silence, inside, and safe.
I was prepared for the unrequited, for inevitable desire and disappointment,
Spectate, distance, move on,
And be the subject of a one-sided love.

And all the while, you meant each lingering glance to
Linger.
Our eyes knew how to talk before we ever spoke of love or lovers.
I inferred what was hidden there, untold.
I was right to assume, to hope that there was more,
For there was, is, and so it goes.

I love you. Still secret, but now not alone.
I am afraid of what this makes me, but fear knows blood like love knows blood.
And so, knowingly, I let you bleed as you make me
Love.
Don't stand so far away, although I know you must.
My first sleepless night without you.

From Behind the Oak

.

                From behind the oak
                mine eyne curved it's
                           girth

                      to spectate
                        her quiet
                         undress

         The leaves beneath mine feet
                       screamed
                     as my heart
            and hern flesh instantly
                        became
                covered with cloth
                  leaving me with

                  poetic thoughts
